Suede Inserts - your thoughts?
Wondering what people who have either received their vehicles, or have seen them are thinking about the suede inserts? Good option, not? Wonder what they look like (more or less classy than pure leather), and how you think they'd hold up compared to straight leather.

I love the suede inserts, so much I had the console base, knee bolster, pork chop and glove box covered too. The seats are wearing fine.
I love the suede and leather combo

I also like the suede inserts and leather combo on my GS. They seem to be holding up fine so far.
If I were ordering a C7, I would include this as an option.

They came on my 427. I really don't care that much for them.

Have them in my '12 GS. Very comfortable. Easy to clean. Keeps you planted vs sliding on leather. They do have the effect of a comforter after you sit for a while...they do trap your body heat, but you will NOT burn your but on a hot summer day when you first sit down. REALLY love the contrast with the leather. FWIW...I highly recommend.

Are you talking about inserts for a C6 or in the new C7?

Saw them yesterday on a dark green C7, dark brown interior, I liked the look, very classy and if/when I order a C7 it will have the inserts...JMHO!

I have an 07 with full leather seats and a 12 GS Centennial with the suede inserts. I like the suede better.

Just as an FYI, the seats with 'suede' don't have an iota of leather; it's all vinyl
. But I honestly prefer that, than just the right side seatback bolster in leather; it's VERY noticeable, especially after some use.
I have a 4LT Centennial GS, and both the quality of the leather dash/upper-doors and the 'suede' are probably the worst I've seen... but not surprised being GM. They've always used crap materials. The SRTs use real alcantara (name brand), and the difference is like night and day. Ours is very thin. I definitely like Alcantara, but between crap perforated leather and crap 'suede', I opted for the latter (hence the CE). One thing is for sure; it wears quicker than leather. The good news is I only use it for trips, am pretty light, and only have 5K miles on the odo, so still looks like new. Good luck.

Wow... does suede trap that much dirt or is it just more visible because of the light color? It should be easy to clean, yes? (Nice car, otherwise!

I think it gets matted down and changes color

It's not dirt. It all depends on what direction the nap lies to how it reflect the light.
