Default Lifting my car

I'm going to install a exhaust on my car and have found some very good threads for the DIY. This one being this best: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-c...to-w-pics.html
My only question now is lifting my car high enough. I have a set of race ramps and was wondering if I pull the car up on them if I can get a floor jack under the back to lift it to get it on jack stands? I'm going Saturday to buy a jack from Northern Tool, so I'm not sure if it'll go under the back of the car being on the ramps.

Getting a floor jack under the rear is no problem---for the front you will have to use ramps (assuming you want to lift in the center). You may want to look at a cross-beam adaptor for your jack. it makes lifting easier and safer.

The back can be jacked up with now ramps. I normally put a 12" piece of hardwood 2x4 between the jack pad and the car as well.
