Default Slippery pedals!

I find that my clutch and brake pedal are quite slippery and I can only wear one pair of shoes that I own where my foot doesn't feel like it will slip off, especially the clutch. Even when wearing sneakers my foot seems to slip. This happens when my shoes are dry but even worse when wet obviously. Does anyone else have this issue and if so, how to you cope with it? Is there a rubber clutch and brake pedal cover made for it?

By the way...I did search on this forum for an answer and I saw a post written in 2010 about a DIY'er coating his pedals in Plasti Dip but Id rather not do that. But it does validate my complaint of slipper pedals on an '05.

Yes, it was a problem with my C5 also. I use the grind/satin seen below. The grind on clutch/brake really stick.

Wet leather shoes are dangerous with the stock pedals. That was my solution also and the slightly larger pedal area made the clutch effort more comfortable.

I have a 6 spd manual & bought standard GM rubber pedal covers from an auto parts store, made sheet metal plates to mount them over, then bolted them to the stock pedals (through the cast-in openings). Works great!. No slippage and MUCH more comfortable & less vibration, - especallially on the clutch.

The clutch/brake pedals attach to the existing pedals using brackets and screws. The gas and dead pedals are attached with screws which are screwed right into the existing rubber pedals. I used aluminum foil on the backside of the new gas/dead pedal so the black did not show through the other holes in in the pedal covers.

I made my own. You can get the rubber pedal covers at an auto parts store for just a few $$. They are designed to fit over a 1/8" steel plate, - as you would have on an old style welded pedal assembly. I made my own plates, attached small daimeter bolts that would fit through the aluminum pedal openings. Attach the plates to the pedals and stretch the pads over the plates. Works perfectly for me. Plus, it raises the clutch pedal slightly .... which I like.

Or you can spend a couple hundred $ to get the fancy vette prdal covers.

Sounds great, i have the same issue in my c6. Would need a rubber brake pedal for an auto. Any suggestions? I'm thinkin the plates might be a challange but i'll try!@

I have the same problem of slippery pedals, and was considering either the CCA pedals, or trying out the Rustoleum AS5400 no-slip epoxy paint. I'll try the paint first and post results.
