Thinking of a C6..
Hello,
I am looking at getting more info on a C6. From what I gather there is a nice improvement in the 2008 model. At what point did side airbags become standard and do all C6 come with the pressure sensor to determine to deploy the airbags?
Price range - around 25K is what I'm thinking, could be less
What is the estimated depreciation of a 2008 C6 with 50K miles on it?
Is this a descent price for, http://www.carmax.com/enus/view-car/...esults:results page?

Love my 08 not sure about the air bag question though
That C6 you showed does not look to be optioned out from what I can see however Carmax does not always list all the details (I would make sure any vette I got had HUD and power seats as well as dual mode (NPP) exhaust)
Keep looking and I am sure you can find something in that price range well optioned, personally I would want the 3lt with Npp exhaust and should be plenty of those out there under 50K miles

Looks like a fair price to me. Especially considering I wouldn't take that for my 2005 vert. I suggest you look at the for sale section on this forum. That's where I got mine. As far as depreciation, most all will depreciate as C7s become more plentiful. Good luck with the search. Get one and you will love it. And just so you know, we always wave at fellow corvette owners.

However, if you are unable to find an '08 in your price range that pops your cork, there's nothing wrong with earlier model years.

Looks like a good price on the 08. I'd go check the tires if I were you, because they do look a little low and tires are EXPENSIVE. The interior looks to be in nice shape, nice color too. I love the look of a stock Vette, but those wheels are wretched!

All year c6's had side bags available. The earlier ones were on the higher package like 1sb in 05 and 3lt in later years.(Not sure about 2 lt before 2010).ALL cars with any airbags in them have a pressure sensor to determine weight on passenger and airbag on or off. The actual sensors that set them off are by the front bumpers and a few other locations. 08 saw more power, new (better shifting) tranny and some other refinements. In my opinion, that car in the link has way to many miles on it for 25 grand. Spend a little more and get one with 5000 miles on it,or 10..they're all over the place with low low miles.I just bought another 2013 GS with 2200 miles on it.Not for 25 or 30 grand but still,2200 miles!

If you do a search using Car Gurus, they give you the instant market value verses the asking price. Then they tell you whether it is a good deal based on that comparison, and what the difference is that you are saving or if it is over priced. Nice feature that they offer! Check it out!

Here is search where I live as an example:
http://www.cargurus.com/Cars/invento...tion=undefined
The market value is influenced by the zip code (area), so do a search using your zip code and you can filter by year, etc. and how many miles away from your area.
