I'm guessing you have the adjustable "F55" suspension if they are quoting $1000 per shock. Easiest way to tell would be a large **** on the center console for "tour and "sport".

One of our vendors Cultrag performance has front shocks listed :
http://stores.revolutionparts.com/cu...shock-absorber
List Price: $1,035.74
You Save: $336.62 (33% off)
Sale Price: $699.12

Then install yourself or have an independent shop do it, since the dealer wants to charge you full list price.

The rears are slightly cheaper.

As far as I know, if you want to keep the mag ride system OEM replacement is the only choice you have.

You can technically swap them out for regular shocks or even get rid of the shocks and leafs to switch to coil-overs, BUT you would need to work around the electronics so the car doesn't complain about not seeing the shock input and limiting your speed to 85 mph.

There are kits that do fool the system to allow you to run normal shocks, here is one set of simulators for $199. Then you can run any shocks you want which a whole set is less then one front Mag-ride shock or about $400.
