I have a 2006 Z51 car. A few weeks ago I hit a pretty rough concrete too asphalt transition on the highway at a good rate of speed. Ever since then, when driving at night, my interior lights will flicker between day and night mode...sometimes it's when I hit a bump and sometimes it does it randomly. I am assuming I knocked a wire loose. Does anybody know where I should start looking? Thanks in advance.

I've had the exact same problem for several years now-can't figure out why.

I'd look at the connections on the dimmer behind the dash. If not it could be the reostat gone bad in the dimmer itself. It can be tested with a multimeter on the ohms setting to see if the reading jumps around as you turn it. Another thought is the light sensor on the top middle of the dash. Looks like a dark half round bump about 1/3 of an inch tall. Make sure nothing is covering it up. Like a radar detector or a hat. Maybe it's just plain dirty or a bad connection there.
