2008 TPMS don't work on 2010's...True or False?
Recently got some new wheels and tires as a complete set with TPMS installed from an 08 base c6. Since I own a 2010 base c6 I figured they systems should be able to pair right up. At the very least since I have the newer vehicle there would be some type of backward compatibility to them. I could understand if its from a newer car to an older car. I've done a bit of research and its possible that I'm not reading it correctly but apparently 2010 was the only whacky year for TPMS where the system is different from 2005-2009 and the 2011-2013 models. I've also gone to 2 different tire shops to have them paired up to DIC before I began doing some research and neither of the two were successful. I was told it was also possible that they are damaged or dead but to have all 4 sensors fail both times seems a little unlikely to me. If anyone can point me in the right direction or shed some light on whats going on with these TPMS I'd appreciate it.
