Disconnect battery then get power window issue
I haven't disconnected my battery too frequently, only having done it 3 times in the past 2 years. Each time when the battery was reconnected the drivers side window would not go up or down when pressing the switch. Passenger side works fine from drivers side control. If I slam the drivers door the window then operates normally and I never have the issue again. What could be causing this?

Have you tried initializing (re-indexing the windows)?
It needs to be done every time the battery is disconnected.

Need to find out if this is a issue or an electronic glitz.
If slamming door makes window work, re-index immediately and see if it holds. If it doesn't might be a failing regulator w/ no link to disconnecting battery. Weirder things have happened.

Once I slam the door to get window to work it performs flawlessly until the next time I have to disconnect battery.

A loose connection?
Having to slam door's somewhat a clue, same w/ a failing regulator.
IF it works now then leave it alone & leave battery connected, motor on.
IF either of above (loose connector/reg) begins giving problems it'll only worsen as time goes on & force your action.
In the meantime you've a functioning window, pretty fortunate in the world of C6. When something goes it's usually immediate often leaving one stuck wherever they are.
