My Valentine 1 (V1) came with a mount that slides right onto a window visor. Love it, super easy.

They have them for $10 on the Valentine One website, but I'm sure they'll probably only fit the V1.

It would appear I am the odd man out. I use the suction cup mount that came with my V1. Been using it since 2009 with occasional replacements of the suction cups. If you clean your window well and clean the suction cups you should have no problems, I don't.

I have one in my GS and the wife in her 2014 Suburban, both with the power tap. Plug-n-play and works seamlessly. Expensive, but worth it in my opinion.

I have a permanent visor mount. Screws on to the inboard passenger visor screw. Up high and does not block my view. V1 is hard wired with all wires hidden under windshield trim and tied into Dashtronics projector. All info is displayed in the HUD, V1 is blacked out. Love this set up.

Yes they work, when a cop/chp is using radar the Escort detector can spot the signal asap. Now when they are parked using laser that's another story. The laser isn't detected like a radar signal, the radar being a very broad signal. The laser is very hard to detect even though these smaller detectors can detect them they are not a 100% fool proof. I've owned 3 detectors a V1 which is a solid detector but gives false signals, then my second one is an oldie but goodie I use in my daily driver it's a Escort 9500ix. The Escorts are great because they are gps tracked which give 99% accurate detection verses picking up your local convenience store door radar. Now I use the Escort passport max in my C6 which is an awesome little device.

There are different kinds of radar. I have found that a lot of small towns out in the sticks where I like to drive still use "K" band.

The visors in these cars are very flimsy. I wouldn't count on that holding up for long.

Visor mount. Cheap and easy. Get it with the hardwire mirror kit if your car supports it.

Are you talking about this one? I see you can also use the StickyCup, which one do you use?

I have the cheap one that came with the 9500ix, I have it fastened to the mirror mount with a black shoelace so when it comes loose it doesn't fall into the dash, a real PIA. I was thinking about one (actually 2) of these, do they work well? Have they ever come loose? They look well made and a lot cheaper then the Blendmount...thanks!

I use the permanent mount that screws into the visor mount. Keeps the V1 high on the windshield. I also use the remote display, which blacks out the V! and keeps the mute button close to your left hand. It is velcroed to a block of wood, which is velcroed to the dash.

Almost invisible from outside,

I've found this to be true. I also use the suction cups (too lazy I guess to mount something else). But, I position the detector usually in the lower left side of the windshield, closest to me. Not very low, about 1/3 up and as close as possible to the A pillar. Works for me in both cars.

The new suction cup that Escort sells works great. (Escort Sticky Cup) I can hardly get mine off even when I want to remove it. It will never fall off.

I didn't like the older ones that used 2 or 3 smaller suction cups. This newer model has 1 large suction cup (VERY STICKY) and is solid as a rock. Plus you can place it wherever you want on the windshield.

$28 on Amazon.

Amazon Amazon
.

NOTE: I see that you have the Max 360. This mount may not work with that model. I have an Escort 9500ix.
