Your car and you do with it what you want. It seems that the younger generation is into the black wheels and the older guys like me prefer the polished or chrome wheel.
Just like some men like big boobed women and some men like little boobed women. Just the way it is.
You do your thing with your Vette and I'll do my thing with my Vette.

Clearly, to me.. the chrome wheels look better. Black wheels to me,,make it look like the wheels are dirty.

Guys the older guy like me likes black now. When I was younger in my 40's. I liked chrome. But now in my mid 50's black wheels matter.
Who know what my 60' and 70's will bring. But I'm open to suggestions.
Heck we might not even have wheels soon enough when the hoovercraft Vette comes out.
But yes to each his own.

I like the black wheel look but prefer the grey on my own vehicle

I was going to stay out of this until I read the above. I'm 77 and years ago I thought chrome was cool. In 1960 had a 56 Buick with Skylark chrome wire wheels then in 77 had a Caprice Classic with Truespoke chrome wire wheels . Now there is no doubt, black looks much better on a Vette.
Hey, it's all good, and congratulations to you driving and enjoying a Corvette at 77. Good for you.

Once you go black, you'll never go back.

It's all about the lines for me, I see things as if they are constantly in motion. A gift, or a curse depending on who you ask. I subscribe to the "To each their own" theory.
You spend your money on black wheels, I spend mine on chrome but damn... these cars have all the right curves for me.

Your red Vette to me, would look better with the factory chrome or polished wheel. Here we go again,, personal preference. Although I prefer chrome or polished, I never cared for chrome spoke wheels, just don't like the spoke look. Personal preference again?

Two of my friends, one 73 and the other 82 have 2016 C7's with black wheels also. They both have auto transmissions but I had to have a manual.
Maybe us So Cal old guys are just younger at heart

The last car I owned (and will own) with black wheels was when someone stole my hubcaps in the 60's.
