Default ZR1 issues ?

I'm fairly new to the ZR1-community (upgraded from a Z06 this spring)
My new baby is a 2012 centennial w only 3K mls.
A surprisingly big improvement over my mostly stock '09 Z06

The only mod I've done so far is installing the Lingenfelter 710HP-kit
along with a dyno-run-adjustment for fine tuning.

I plan to use the car for weekend-just-for-fun driving.

My question to you more experienced ZR1-drivers is,
if there are any known problems/issues with the ZR1 that I should/can avoid ?

I read about the "catch-can" and the " intercooler bricks"
, "vibration issues", heard about Catalytic Converters being
replaced, carpet being burned (due to hot exhaust) and maybe more that I haven't discovered.....

Are these problems that occur during "regular" (not track) usage ?
Have some of the issues been fixed thru the years by GM itself ?
Which mods are really recommended to have a hassle-free ride with the car ?

any input is welcome
Andy

Catch can install is a must.

Also a few have experienced a clutch pedal that does not come all the way back up. Lingenfelter and a few others make a replacement spring/bracket that solves that issue.

I had mine for the last 2 years, First year was stock, no issue. Second year LPE 710 with ported stuff, with Kooks 1 7/8 and few other goodies no issues. Brick, melted carpet and everything else is becoming issues when push further and tracked like crazy. But what car doesn't do that when track and modded?

if your carpet is coming apart on the tunnel after hot runs, sew a bridge with fishing wire. i've had 3 track days since with no issues

i also have a dual catch can set up and check along with my oil once a month. the can that cleans in front of the throttle body usually has about a 1/2 inch of oil in it and the can that cleans off the valley plate is almost full

Thanks guys.

So far I haven't run into any of the "common" problems.
Looks like the catch can is something useful even if I don't track the car.
Does it prevent oil from getting into the air-intake ?

as for the dyno-numbers:
I remember (don't have the paper here) something slightly above 700HP (Maybe 703 or something)
and torque was above 900 Nm (or 660 ft lb)
