Default C7 Carbon rear ZR1 extended spoiler

Looking for feedback - I'd like to own the Katech unit, but availability and approximately 2x the price have me looking at the C7 Carbon version.

I am more concerned with fitment, not finish (I will probably paint it gloss black to match the rest of the aero on the car anyway, so I won't stress over small imperfections in the carbon).

Ears wide open.

From all the reading I have done on the forum about ZR1 spoilers I believe the consensus is buy the OEM piece if you are a perfectionist. I am going OEM because I have an arctic white GS and I am going to paint the spoiler arctic white to match so there is little room visually for large gaps between the spoiler and body. If I was going carbon fiber or black, or if I had a black car I believe the fudge factor is a little more forgiving.

Good luck with your search.

Thanks for the feedback - I already have a ZR1 spoiler from the factory, just looking for something more aggressive.

I wouldn't bother with real Carbon fiber if you are just going to paint over it though....

Thanks for the link, answered many questions I had. So since you've had it a while now and hopefully done a couple track events with it do you think it adds any stability to the rear? I'm mainly concerned with high speed, heavy trail braking scenarios.
Did you add it after the Katech undertray or at the same time? Thanks.

A nice, clean appearing and slightly larger CF spoiler sure looks great as compared to the painted OEM ZR1 version. Even if it is somewhat cosmetic, I sure like it.

Does anyone know what spoiler this is? Im looking for my ZR1 and this one really is a clean look. I had a C7 carbon on my Z06 but want to go a different route this time.

It looks like this is either a C7 Carbon or a Katech extended spoiler? Who else makes ZR1 extended other than C7 Carbon, Katech or Supervettes and the Supervettes looks different as they have a raised area on the brake lights.

Not the Katech - light is on bottom, not the C7, light is lower but space above and below.

I'd like to know whose it is too.

That may be the Supervettes piece.

Do you guys know if any of the aftermarket extended spoilers are a direct fit to the factory ZR1 bolt pattern holes?

It looks like a supervette. I would hope the bolt pattern is the same, I dont feel like drilling holes again.

I had no issues with my C7 carbon spoiler. Only thing I didnt care for is that is drops a little too much on the left/right side. Good piece though.

After looking around a bit I think this may be an SS vette spoiler in question in the above picture
