Default What kind of boost levels are you guys getting with your supercharger setups & puleys

Im installing an A&A SC Kit T1-V2 in my 2009 Z06 with a 4" blower pulley. I had a 10% underdrive ATI from when it was N/A but opted to go with the 10%overdrive after some fellow member inputs. I got a really good deal on a 3.8 pulley from another member which i purchased as well but Im hesitating on weather to put it on now or build it together first with the 4" and 10% overdrive. Just trying to save on time and tune money if I can. I have contemplated the Idea of going with a 3.4 Blower pulley and putting a Tial 38mm Waste gate on the charge pipe to control with a boost controler but I dont really see the need for that if I can dial in close to my goals with the 4" pulley

My goals are to get to 700 rwhp + no less. Car is now making 570 rwhp LSX heads cnc ported by WCCH
EPS cam 228/244 .639/.639 115 LSA +4 advance
11.0:1 comp.
Full headers no cats B&B Fusion 3" exhaust
tune.

any experience you guys have or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
RoB

I think you should make about 6psi with the 4" pulley. you should make 700whp with that pulley. ...but with the 3.8 pulley for sure.

thats the feedback im getting, especially with the 10% overdrive main pulley. Usually others have had to go down to 3.8 or even 3.6 with stock dampner.

Ill see how close i come with the 4" and just bolt it up like that for now.

each one of these belts is 26 bucks!

11.3 psi with a stock LS3 balanced (for now) and 4.25 blower pulley. Don't worry about boost though. The more power it makes on the least amount of boost is what I like.

That's cheap, start breaking 10 rib or cog belts. If unsure the belt size, just buy 3 or 4 and return the ones that don't fit.

I've probably gone through $500+ in belts with my car. If you are complaining about $26 for a belt, a blower may not be for you.

You running 6 or 8 rib? I can send you some 8 rib pullies if you are 8 rib.

I made ~6psi with 3.8 upper stock lower, but had a 228/232 cam and good heads. Heads/cam/headers/etc will all effect boost since it is just measurement of restriction. A 10% lower 4" upper should be enough to see ~680-700rwhp. What boost that is at, who cares, it doesn't matter.

forged bottom end?

my setup with D1SC on a stroked ls2 and ported ls6 heads and mild blower cam made ~700whp with 4.25 pulley and about 9.5psi, moved it down to a 3.9" and made 760whp at 12.5psi. This is all on 8 rib with 10% larger IW crank pulley but the motor was only 9.5:1 compression. New setup going to try it with 3.55" blower pulley.....

I vote 4" pulley and do what you have to in order to put a good 4" intake on there.

Stock bottom end for now, stock fuel system too with a BAP. I figure 700hp should be a good shooting point without having to go into forging the bottom end or having to modify fuel system

just my $0.02 but that close to the edge on stock bottom end and fuel system I'd certainly add a methanol setup, cheap insurance.

Hey I hope u make your goal with your setup , I'd be concerned about my compression & my bottom end if I'm stock , 700 to the tires , I don't doubt it will make It , but for how long ?

I'd be looking at a fuel system.

I maxed out the Ti on my 377 with a 3.47/8.0 pulley combo and shift it at 6500. That is right around 13 psi on my motor

Default Got boost

My set up is similar . I run a Ti/1500 blower out the box blower kit , Lsx heads , eps cam ect... on my Z . 700 rwhp will be easy to attain . Plenty of 800 rwhp Zs on this board with no issues . I ran the .639 eps cam in my g/s . It makes great power . I think pat g runs a cam very close to that as well in his g/s and he makes 800 in his g/s .
