Don't blame you at all buddy. I have driven friends AWD Porche's TT and the way it gets power to the ground it is as fast as my car...and still great in the corners. When I look at the investment in my car not only in $$ terms but blood, sweat, and tears...cost would probably be the same. I just can't bring myself to part with the vette. Maybe someday...or maybe add another car to the stable at some point.

I will be able to compare apples to oranges once I get the vette done. I can drive them back to back. But it's moot, because net-net I'm only going to end up keeping the R8.

So in reality it might be better to focus only on v10 models then since you can make decent power without internal engine mods? I know the V8's only use cylinder spray lining so building them can be a bit pain. I will research it more, but did you hear much about the power handling of the gearbox and clutches?

Anyway I love the color also. AWD is fun to put down some serious power on the street at lower speeds.

Thanks Jeff. Yea just a few things to do before putting the fenders on. Then I can street tune it on pump, double check E85 tune then dyno. Then clean it up and put it up for sale.

I need to install the boost sensor for my P3 gauge in the R8 so I can tell how much boost it's making. I'm thinking its not making what it should since the wastegate springs were changed.

Congrats! That car is gonna be wild! I'm excited to hear about how the R8 compares to your twin turbo vette.

Is this thing ready to plow or did you switch camps again and go back to a supercharger?

It's buttoned up and ready for street tuning on pump, then put some corn in it and dyno it. Going on vacation manana though. The R8 will be staying at Eurocharged when I'm on vacation for a retune and dyno.

I think it's been stored away in a granero somewhere across the border. Watch for it on one of those "barn find" reality TV shows in about 30 years.
