Dart LS Next
Had ERL with F1X, held up fine but only used for about 100 miles (10 1/2 mile pulls too). Put in twin turbo build (62's) with more mileage & use, and the block just cracked - looking to get details soon.

Contact me directly with the blocks s/n. We offer a manufacturer warranty which can replace your block if the issue was related to our sleeving.

It was on another car at the same shop as mine, believe kit but one that was highly modified to fit everything.
Will get the details to you via email. Thanks!
Sorry to hear that. The details can certainly make a difference, there is a lot that goes on outside the block that could cause issues...too many to list here with the info we have so far.

I would not ever recommend over ~800-850 in a c6. That is the sweet spot for power/reliability. Once I get a project car like a fox body, sn95, old camaro, etc I would pull my motor/combo and put it in there and just build a nice 600rwhp n/a setup for the vette and then a nice solid axle big tire car for 1200+hp.
Yes my car makes a bit over 1200rwhp. I would start with a different car if that is your goal.

In order of preference:
LSX - proven, strong
Dart - Technically a better design but has yet to be proven long term and has had a major design change since first being released.
ERL - Nice, and similarly priced if you have a core, else a bit spendy, but I prefer iron
Stock iron block
Anything else than RHS
RHS

I had an RHS, block it's self did well just make sure your builder knows to heat the block after the sleeves are pressed and remachine to prevent head lift under load.
It has been doing well at the 1200hp mark for me. Any more and you should consider an LSX or a billet aluminum block to keep the weight down

LSX block no doubt. It's what I have in my car. I believe all the really gnarly enormous power cars that have set records had LSX blocks? blue LMR car, that red hinson c5 etc
the 100lbs doesn't matter unless you're really into road racing etc.
last thing i want to do is be pulling the block for replacement ever.

I have been running ERL Superdeck for 6 years now without a single issue! 1437rwhp when it was a 6 speed on race gas. Its now RPM 80e on E85. ERL is actually build me another NA motor for this puppy.
Drag racing and 1/2 is cool but you all need to try roadracing! You will NEVER look back.

So, I will start with the Dart SHP LS Next Engine Block. Why u ask, well several reasons frankly.
The first of which is Dart has been making it happen for a long time in the industry, I mean not specifically the break the internet youtube world, but the real world.
Second, it's a no drama thing, no drama on the fitment, everything is normal.
Third, I can get one from a CHI town speed shop without them *requiring me to have them assemble the short-block and up-charging me for something my 14 year daughter can do.
Sure I could order from summit or jegs and get it machined, but frankly I don't trust my local machine shops for LS performance stuff. I called at least 3, which had answering machines, and NEVER got a callback.
With my current goals, the Dart SHP LS Next is the perfect choice. I'll keep ya'll up to date. Will start a new thread soon with what power adder.... however feel free to comment here! I'm really on the fence on a ton of things for sure.
