Default What the "little" A&A V3 Ti kit is capable of...

When I first bought this car I was all over the forum looking at YSi and F1 blowers...looking for that 1xxxrwhp number. I figured I would post up some of what I have found with the V3Ti.

2013 Grand Sport (A6):
CCP Jam Cam
Fore Fuel System
FIC 1000s
Kooks Headers
A&A V3 Ti (3.6 upper/10% OD lower)

So far my PB is a 10.0 @ 145 in less than ideal weather...

Ti=Novi 1500 which recently went 9.0.

If I could go back for anything less than 1/2 or 1 mile stuff I would do a 1500. Ysi/2200 is great, but so many people love to overblower their cars. If my car didn't see 5-6 1/2 miles a year, I would yank the YSI and put a 1500 on the car.

Exactly...I've very pleased with this little blower. If I ever replace the factory converter I'm sure she would do very well in the quarter.

Probably have another 30-40hp if you push it.

I have a Ti trim in the mid 800s with an M6 so this looks like a great combo with an A6. No doubt the cool weather in December helps a bit on the dyno but the car puts down mph where it should.

Agree that for a street car, that's driven, that is a great size. Plenty of power. If the deal I found would have been a smaller blower, that's what I would be running.

Very nice. What boost is that at?

Boost is irrelevant.

With that pulley combo and 6800 rpm I would assume about 14 psi but as said above, boost is irrelevant unless we are discussing heat. Some cars will make 800 at 12 psi and others need 18 psi to get there.

Cam size, heads, compression, exhaust size, header size, etc will all affect boost.

Car can make 800rwhp on 10psi or 20psi depending on those variables. A blower spinning at X RPM basically moves X amount of air. The amount of pressure doesn't matter, the volume of air does. Which is why no one should care about boost besides rare cases like Al G blowing up plastic intakes at 25psi. Your intake and couplers care about boost, the rest of the car DGAF.

That's great numbers through an auto and must be a monster on the street. I love the Ti trim on my 07Z. I assume with those injectors, you're on E85? Still on 6 rib?

Don't be worried. YSI is an awesome blower. Not sure I see the point if not going to spin it though.

I hear ya, but at the same time he's making 825 with a 10% od. I had a 20% and just switched to a secondary drive and full 8 rib setup.

I was actually trying to aim for like 750ish

See how it works out. I think with that 3.6 might feel little sluggish down low, but never tried one so could be wrong.

In my experience you need to put a 3.25 pulley or smaller on a YSi to take advantage otherwise the Ti would be a better choice.

The only thing I'm lacking from turning it up is fuel, which I hope to get sometime in spring. It's a weekend car at most so it's not a huge deal at the moment. I appreciate the advise.

It will still work, it will just be soft on the bottom end until you spin it harder.
