If it has been dead for a long time start with 40 to break the sulfations for about an hour. If it has only been less than a week use 10.

The charger should go down to 1 amp once it is charged, but if the battery is completely dead, about 5 hour because I think it is a 55 amp hour battery.

Thanks. I have an appointment with the dealer later in the week. I think the car is possessed. The latest it has done is that it beeped three times when I got out of the car. Yes, I have the FOB warning on, but the FOB was NOT in my car, so why would the warning go off with the FOB in my pocket and it was as I got out of the car?

Secondly, after it did that, I opened the car door just to make sure there wasn't a FOB in there (which there wasn't) and I got the "chime" - you know like the kind that youy would here in a car if the key was in the ignition. I have no idea.....
