C6 diagnostic codes

There are lots of readers out there. For the C6 you need a reader which is ODB-II and CAN enabled. I have an Innova model 3100. It can read codes and erase them. They can be bought online for less than $100. Most auto parts stores sell code readers as well. Do a quick search to learn more and find them.

The code reader you buy should come with a list of the codes. However, if you want to do a diagnosis or trouble shoot the codes I would purchase a Helms factory service manual for the specific year of your C6.

I purchased an ACTRON CP-9180 for 140 bucks on the internet. It works great. Its able to read and display O2 sensor data. Theres a newer model out for a little more. This one works fantastic for our C5 & C6s!!
