speaking of tunnel plates, is there any difference between the base, Z51, GS, Z06, or ZR1 tunnel plates? i'm thinking thickness here...

Just taking a wild guess here and am saying no. I think we would of heard of it as a mod if it was available. I went with Elite Engineering's plate with heat shield.

I very will could be corrected here....

A little info here?..08 C6, bought it with a supercharger and lower profile tires...as a result the front end sits REALLY low. Any easy crank methods to raise the front end up about an inch? Due to the front tire pivot position, lowering the back might help also...any ideas??? Thanks.

The C6 has adjustment height screws at all four corners. Easily able to lift the front end back to stock height. Do a search on lowering and just turn the screw the opposite direction.

I did all the economy stuff and then finally said screw it and bought a Pfadt suspension kit. Wait until you can do it right instead of doing it twice. It will save you both time and money.

It rides better with the Pfadt kit than it did with the Bilsteins and aftermarket bars, plus te pFadt stuff just looks great.

The FSD's are around $700 while the Bilstein are $300. Do a search of the design of both and decide.

Good luck.
I have an 07 F55 option . Will I also benefit from these upgrades? Z51 bars Bilstein shocks and the tires obviously are a no brainer

Get the LG G1 bars with the quiet end links, and some Bilstein HD shocks (group buy). The LG rear bar is adjustable - run the rear at it's softest.

You also want to find some Z51 or Z06 springs as well - look for some used. You will save money and they don't wear out.

Get a good wheel alignment.

z06 front spring, keep the base rear spring

zr1 front sway bar, then a z06 or z51 rear sway bar

z06 shocks or bilstein

the bias is more toward oversteer with the full z06 swaybar setup. Mixing the Zr1 front and z06 rear (or z51 rear) gets a bit more balance, however, its all about your driving style and also how the rest of the suspension is set up.

relative sway bar rates:

We can't really link on here to non CF sponsored sites/vendors, but try google. I just checked and found some in about 20 seconds.

I am looking for a set of the z51 sways as well. On the fence about the shocks, but bilstein seems like a nice option.

I agree. I did tires, then zo6 shocks, then Z06 swaybars. ....then phadt featherlights coilovers and Johnny o Connell swaybars. .......then, HOLY CRAP DOES THAT CAR HANDLE now!!! save your money and do it right the first time.stock suspension sucks unless you want a powerful car with fluffy/luxury ride and dont care about handling. ....

Z06 shocks and z51 sways that's what I did to my base 07 and I still can't believe the difference in how much flatter the car stays in a turn once you do that you will notice how much body roll the base suspension actually allows

I would lower the car on stock bolts and sticky tires will also help.

I added z51 sways bars and haven't noticed much of a difference.

I noticed a significant improvement when adding Z51 sways and FSD shocks. I did this together on a 1LT coupe.

I feel the sways levels the car in the corners.

The car seems to handle fairly neutral.

I did the same to a base 3lt and kept the base springs, the car is neutral. Sometimes under steer, but slight lean towards over steer. My ride is 1.2 inch lower on stock bolts.
