Corsa with Headers
What type of sound and performance increases will I get if I add headers to my 09 C6 with Corsa Sport? How will the sound change and approx how much more hp?
Thank you!
Thank you!

It's pretty loud IMO but I also have a converter. If your an M6 it won't be an issue, A6 stock converter may get a little noisy. Headers will add about 25-30 rwhp. The mufflers are pretty much a non issue. I switched from corsa sports to stock mufflers and made the same HP on the same dyno. The stock mufflers actually made a couple HP more but there's so many factors that I wouldn't count on that. Chances are you also get a different x-pipe with the headers. It's one of the best bang for buck mods you can do.

Oh yeah, it was horrible. But like I said I had a higher stall converter and my car would constantly be around 2500 rpms when accelerating around town.

I'm running AR Headers, High Flow CATs with AR Xpipe, and Corsa Sports on a manual LS2 and have no drone issues. Sound levels on acceleration are much louder now than when I was running Corsa Sports with the stock exhaust system, but for me are just great.

I have Corsa Sports with LT's, no cats, blower cam, and blower. It's loud when accelerating hard. Mean sounding at idle. Quiets down nicely when cruising. You can hear it just a little at cruise, but it's not overbearing by any means. No droan. I don't have any tolerance for a stupid loud exhaust that never shuts up. Had NPP's before and would still have them if they hadn't fallen apart. Mufflers shouldn't be something you have to work on.

The sound is great and no drone as long as you stay away from the offroad x-pipe. I had substantial drone in the 16-1700 range when I had that setup. Loved the sound volume but hated the odor and drone.

Excellent sound, it roars. I had the Kooks/Corsa set up on my last C6. Absolutely no drone.
The sound was so addictive that I now need some kind of exhaust on any Vette I own.

I have kooks 1-7/8" headers and 3" catted x-pipe with the corsa sports A6 trans no drone at all. 2 other mods, cai and ported throttle body. Picked up .35 tenths and 3 mph still on stock tune. It has a raspier sound now due to the x-pipe and the stainless construction of the corsa's. Seams louder at part throttle than at full throttle from inside of car. My son says it is loud period. Here is the link to the true street runs at the Chevy high performance nationals at Alanta. My car is the crystal red grand sport, might give you some idea of how it sounds.
