Default Cammed ls2 A6 low dyno numbers

Hello everyone,

I recently had a vigilante 3600 stall converter and fast 102 unported intake installed on my torquer v2 cammed 07 C6 A6. The car was dyno tuned recently and I made 388rwhp and 357rwtq unlocked. I'm thinking this is wrong and I also understand the stall converter will make it dyno a little lower, but not that low? This was on a dynojet with SAE Smoothing 5. My mod list consists of a torquer v2 cam, LG headers with high flow cats, corsa sports mufflers, vararam intake, fast 102 unported, vigilante 3600 stall, and a dyno tune and tranny tune.

Either way, I ran my buddies 520 rwhp 2011 GT500 svtpp with upper pulley/tune and mufflers on a private airstrip and he got me by 1 car length from a 40 roll to 120mph. Something doesn't seem right with my dyno numbers for sure. Any inputs?

I would suggest you "TAKE IT TO A TRACK" and see what kind of #'s you run... You can use my car as a gage to see...

I'm a 2005 (A4) with a STOCK converter, & 3.15 rear gears, I have only a CAI, Kooks Headers, and a Tune by Cartek...

My BEST ET IS 11.98 @ 117 MPH I am getting a either a 3200 or 2800 converter installed this week & will see how much improvement I get... I have the stock cam, & intake...

Will do jpee. I'll take it to the track this coming Friday to see what I'll run. The only problem I think I'll have is the car is a convertible. Lol I'm sure they'll probably kick me off running in the 11's.

Loading up a higher stall on the dyno will absorb power like a sponge. Pay no attention to the dyno, pay attention to your MPH at the track. It gives the best indicator of what your car can do IMO. I bet you will trap around 120+.

The problem I'd have with needing the track numbers to verify the power is I've never been down the strip and I think I'd be shortchanging my car's potential. That and I have the MN6. A lot easier (and probably more consistent) in an A4 or A6 I would think.

I hope you have a set of Drag Radials or you will have a lot of trouble making a good pass. You should be in th 11.0 to 11.5 range with a 1.60 or better sixty foot. I think you can run 120 to 125 or better. If you look at the 1/4 mile fast list you will see a few cars that have run into the 10s with about the same HP you have dynoed. Its all about your sixy foot so get some drag radials.

I just did a retune on my wifes 06 A6 car 2 days ago, it has a Yank 3600, Kooks LT's w/ 3" X into a Loudmouth II, I did a cam very very close to the V2 but had Comp do a few minor changes, SLP U/D pulley 25%, Calloway Honker, stock intake&t-body and the car made 429whp/391lb-ft with the converter unlocked w/ air fuel very steady at 12.8:1 all the way to 7000.
