Trunk won't open? *WTH*
Everything has been working just fine, today drove the car, parked it and tried to use the FOB to open trunk, NOTHING! Then tried the button on dash, NOTHING!. What the heck is going on? Did my FOB lose program? It still unlocks doors. HELP before I have to take this back to dealer! Anyone else have a problem with trunk not opening? Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks. (I can use the key to open trunk in emergency)

I guess I need to update that info, I sold that car and bought a C6. I believe I figured out the issue, a LOW BATTERY IN FOB. I changed out the battery and it works fine now, weird...the FOB is only 2 years old but factory batteries are CHEAP! I still wonder why the button on the dash did not work?

I change the fob batteries when they get lower than 3 volts (new battery should be around 3.25volts).
Also, depending on your fob, if you have the old style, not a bad idea to pull it apart (read pull the board and rubber piece out of the front cover) to clean up the parts. You can get flint and gunk between the face and rubber cover that causes the buttons to be semi pressed to drain the fob battery down quickly. Also, the prongs and board contacts can get corroded and cause less than a stellar connection even with a brand new battery.
Electrical contract cleaner makes cleaning up the parts a snap.

In my convertible if I don't have the top tonneau closed completely I cannot open my trunk. That's happened to me before, you think the tonneau is closed and it is, but not closed all the way.

OP did you try using the key to open the trunk? As a new C6 owner you need to get familiar with how to get in the car if the battery goes dead......

Sorry to hear about troubles you’re having with your trunk. That’s weird that it happened all of a sudden. Have you taken your C6 into your dealership to see if they can diagnose this concern? If you’d like, I’d be happy to assist you in setting up an appointment. Shoot us a PM with your VIN, current mileage, contact info, and dealership and we can look into this for you!
Thanks,

I did use the key to open the trunk (worked fine) and I have not made an appointment at the dealer yet, once I changed the battery in my FOB, everything was working fine. If I have the problem again, then I will take it in to get looked at by the dealer. Thanks.
