Building a C6 z06 to support 900-1000whp
I know this has been discussed before but every post I read is over 3-4 years old. Technology and prices have changed since then.
Building a 900whp-1000whp C6 z06 what would the total cost ring up too?
LQ9 assembled block is around $4,500
YSi $3,500
Clutch $1,500
Trans TR6060 build it $3,500
Head work $2,000
Cam $500-600
Install / labor cost (doing all in one shot) i am guessing around $2,500-4,000?
Please let me know if i am in left field or am missing something!

Without touching the motor, I priced out about $19-20k in parts with no labor.

Blower kit is more like $8k, not $3500
Cooling system parts $1000+
Fuel system $2000-3500
Tuning/gauges/sensors $1000
Drive train (besides trans and not touching diff) $1800-2000
Headers/exhaust $1500 for a decent brands (ARH, LG, etc)
Valve train parts $1500 (cam, rockers, lifters, chain etc)
Gaskets/bolts/etc $500-600
Wheels/tires $2500+
PCV system, filters, etc that all add up quickly

Would help to know that you plan on using the car for, since the Z06 already has more HP in stock form that handling was designed for.
This is the reason that even the stock Z06, is a meat cleaver on a road coarse track, then a surgical scapulae like the GT-3's and R8's instead.
Hell, even in the T-1 vets with all the added down-force and suspension upgrades, they are only making around 600HP (to balance the HP with suspension handling instead).

Good luck with that. On the strip, since there is only so much that the drive line will hold up to on the launch, your going to be making up time on the tail end of the strip with that much power, and on the road with dot tires, going to have a hell of time trying to get them to stick to begin with.
All I can say, is better have either HP tuner or Efi loaded to a laptop that stays in the car with the dangle, since your going to spend a great deal of time playing with the TM settings for both conditions to star with, and flashing back and forth between the two different tunes as wells.
