Exhaust mod idea

My question is couldnt the hole be placed on the underside of the muffler. Is there any issues im missing other than it not being flat.

So anything done from the cat back, is just about sound.
If your looking to pick up HP (instead of the vet sounding like a trash truck), then headers are your answer isntead.

I mean trash truck sounds bad but yes im going for sound. I dont want to do full exhaust and not have money for intake and tune. Then id want to cam it at same time and there goes a few thousand.
