Might want to have the cylinder heads checked out first before doing any mods. There seems to be issues with their machining. Particularly with heads made before 2010.

Yes sir, I've been doing some reading on the valve guide issues and I plan on checking them out.

I've decided to keep mine stock. I still have a major amount of the PT warranty left and with the head situation being what it is, I'm just going to pile a lot of mileage on the car and try not to worry too much about it. And if the engine blows, GM will give me a new one on their dime. Hopefully, I'll be able to tell if something is amiss before any catastrophic event happens....I hope....

I've heard at one point, there were about 75 engine builders. I believe they also built the LS9s, too.

Default LS3 GS coupe manual shift - YES!

Yes we hand built many LS3 dry sump engines for GS! But we did not build for convertibles or automatics. Still it was a big part of our business for several years. And there is a thread on Corvette Forum for engines built by our gang at Wixom PBC. Look for "Who built your dry sump LS3". and you will find quite a few posted.

Here's to Corvette owners everywhere!

Wonder if there are any in New Guniea...

Default Who built it?

My LS7 was purchased as a crate motor in 2006 (I believe). But it has a Robert Trommater on it. It's in an Ultima GTR and is not required to use catalytic converters. It runs quite nicely.
