**LG Motorsports Headers w Cats, tune build comparison B/4 & after then small cam
Hi guys,
From 500rwhp to 625 rwhp in two different LG Motorsports packages.
From Headers and tune only to our highest hp N/A package to date.
I have not posted up too many of our car numbers lately, since we established our G7X cam packages long ago as the gold standard. And since there are so many new Z06 customers to hit the forum, they may have missed our results from the past 3 years.
It has been two years since we hit 630rwhp in front of a hundred Dyno Day Corvette owners.
So we are starting a series of new posts to inform the Corvette Z06 comunity of our accomplishments.
Thanks and enjoy.
LG
This is our LG Pro Long Tube Headers with just a tune and an air filter (halltech). Notice the huge torque above 450rwtq from 3800 to 5800rpm. That is where the "Snap" feel is apparent.
This next graph is from just adding our smallest G7x-1 Executive cam. The following cam does not even change valve springs. It is so small that it just uses the stock Z06 valve springs. But again, check out the torque.
Torque is greater than 450rwtq from below 2500rpms then it cracks above 500 torque from 4000 to 5300 rpms.
The power is greater than 500rwhp from 5200 to 6700 rpms.
This car does not have any head work. The heads have not been off the car and the throttle body and manifold are also NOT touched
We are doing some minor intake manifold porting and porting the throttle body today, so we will keep you posted on the results.
The car idles and drives perfect. And I mean perfect.
We will follow this post up with some current new results from our other well known cam and head packages.
And for all the guys that want to see over 600rwhp, here is our graph from July of 2006 when we exceeded 625rwhp in front of the 100 dyno day attendees.
This is just to boast a little that we were above 625 rwhp way back then,
We should have some new and improved numbers coming soon . Thanks Lou Gigliotti
The torque on this package NEVER hit below 500rwtq until about 6500rpms which was simply awsome to drive. Also notice the power above 600rwhp from 5600 till the end of the run. So 600 is not the frontier, 650rwhp is our next frontier normally aspirated package. Thanks

Great numbers Lou.
I see the Halltech Filter was part of the equation. I missed that at first blush, since I search with a Bee's eye looking for the word Killer Bee.
Were these the new dyno tests just done with the Killer Bee sent to you? If not, we have seen up to 20 more RWHP with the Killer Bee over the F1 filter, and I sent you a sample of our RACE version of the filter.
Jim.

Thanks!
Jim
PS. Travis wants a set of LG Long Tubes. He is soooo close to the 10s with his setup. I told him to call you.

Travis ran a 11.20 with the Killer Bee and your tune the day I was at the track, even with a DA of 2200. Your right, LG Pros will get him there.

They are trying to take a few photos and a video right now, as we speak.
This is a very small package with great numbers. Only a Halltech cold air, LG Pro LT Headers, and the G7X-1 cam. everything else is stock except the muffler which is a B&B fusion.
Thanks guys and we will try to get the sound clip up asap.

I have a video, and will have it up this weekend of the car's idle.
I do have a couple pictures to share of this car as it did get one our new hoods this weekend.
Also, this car had a Killer Bee on it from the baseline runs, so the gains you see are from the LG Pro's and the G7X1-E cam!

video video video!!!
Comparing it to the -1, how would you describe the differences in driveabiltiy, power charateristic with your g7-2 versus the g7-1 cam?
thanks, i don't mind a bit of lope but the cruise is BIG for me with this car so no surging at all..
thanks!

Right now, with the new tuning tables that have opened up with the software, we are seeing acceptable drivability on our cams that we have tested so far from G7X-1 through G7X4.
I just took a forum member for a drive yesterday with an 08 LS3 with a G7X-4 that we put in for a test.
There is no surging and the G7x4 cam in the LS3 put out over 500rwhp (with less torque than an LS7) but it drives great.
We also did some recent adjustments to our cams to accomodate the new tuning that we have so the torque numbers are coming up while the power numbers are staying high.
Keep in mind that any time the "torque" is up, that means that the hp in that area is also up. And if you are up 20ft lbs at 5300 rpm, then you are up 20hp at that rpm.
So don't let anyone tell you that all that matters is Horsepower because the torque is power (hp=Torque x RPM divided by 5250) Hp IS a function of Torque, so if the torque is up, then the hp is up also. (sorry, I am sure that most of you already know this)
Feel free to give us a call and we can figure out what package will do exactly what you want.
thanks

Our new plateau will be 650 rwhp Normally aspirated very soon.
Any bets on how long before we hit 650rwhp?
thanks guys,

We call it our "Executive Package" because it give the extra snap without any issues at all.
And given the conversion from rear wheel hp to flywheel hp, this car is a 600hp monster that drives like stock.
Thanks

LG boys................nice update! Bigger isn't better with these motors and the trade off for big sticks isn't worth the drivability issues. Customers who "truly" appreciate a stock drivability will understand this. I have had many customers come in with customer supplied cams that where larger then we would recommend, just to have them come back because they played the bigger is better game.
Bobby, I 'll have to grab a couple grinds from you for some upcoming projects. If it responds like the good ole' G5X3 for the LS2 it will be a nice piece!
