H/C/Fast 102/NW 102 = 550rwhp?
I'm banging my head against a wall here. When I first did my heads/cam setup the car consistently made 570+rwhp on multiple dynos and on different days with a all time high of 582rwhp. Since then I have added a FAST 102 and a NW 102 throttle body. I have not come close to these numbers and the car averages mid 550s since the new mods? I know numbers aren't everything but should I be concerned? The same tuner has worked on the car but nothing has come close to my stock ported LS7 intake manifold and stock tb? Any ideas here? It is frustrating when 2 other Z06s owned by friends with the same exact heads and cam setup make over 40 more rwhp on the same day and dyno. All work done to my car as well as theirs have even been done by the same shop Could something be wrong with the 3 piece FAST intake?

What were the temps at in both of these different tunes? I have a Cam Package, headers, fast 102mm, cold air intake etc etc pushing out 590rwhp with a stock throttle body. I retuned at a colder temp and managed to squeeze out a bit more. First tune bout 95 degrees pushed out 565 retuned at 60 degrees and it gained a **** load!

Could be dyno conditions, but usually that is what the correection is factor is for. Speaking of correction factor. Did you make sure he is still showing you all graphs using SAE numbers?

Compression and leak down? Do you and your friends cars have similar mileage? Have you swappwd back to the ported ls7 setup and see if those numbers are the same as they were?
Weak valve springs? Fresh plugs properly gapped? Does the drivetrain spin freely while on the lift...nothing dragging?

Vac leaks?
FAST nice and snug at all mounting points?
Leave a shop towel in one of the intake head runners?
I'd be looking over the entire top end of the motor to ensure nothing is loose or leaking personally. That's my best wild guess of your issue.

I am H/C, ported intake, 1 7/8 kooks, vararam and my car only puts down 518rwhp. 521 corrected. I cant say I wouldnt be worried if another car with the same mods put down more than me on back to back pulls. Was your tuner there to verify you had no knock retard? If he wasnt there, next time you are on the dyno throw some torco in the tank and see if you make more power. If so then you prob need to back off timing a bit. <<<<<< Hell I dont know if thats right but it sounds good. LOL Sometimes I talk like I know more than what I do.
Take it to the track and see what she traps. As long as you are trapping 135+ in a decent DA you should be good.

Same thing happened to me 558rwhp(original #)... this spring new NW102 and Fast. Same tuner and Dyno only gained 2HP and 20TQ. Ok with me... I track the car and I can use the extra Tq out of the corners.

This is normal. The FAST gains more in TQ in almost every case I have seen. I love mine.

Could someone explain how these people are making this much of a gain in torque but so little in horsepower? I just don't see how their top end doesn't go up tremendously unless the 102 intake is a little to much and they are getting more air then it really needs giving it more of low end power? Is that how it works? Sorry, that might be stupid. Sorry for the newb questions, but I'm working on gaining some knowledge.

I just don't see how their top end doesn't go up tremendously unless the 102 intake is a little to much and they are getting more air then it really needs giving it more of low end power? Generally I see power gains under the curve with the FAST 102 intakes. I had one customer with a LS6 with ported LS6 heads and a camshaft using the stock LS6 intake and TB. He had be bolt on a FAST 90mm as this was a couple years ago, and retune it. I didn't see much of an increase in peak power, but there was a decent gain under the curve, which was confirmed on the track. He told me that the car now pulls much harder coming out of the turns and and the straight sections of our local track.
