Ride quallity of the DRM Bilstein shocks??
How do the DRM shocks compare as far as ride quality.
I added the JOC shocks and while they do tame the rear-end, they make the car ride more harsh at times.
I am wanting the ride quality of the stock shocks, just with better body and rear-end control.
Also on the market are QA-1 adjustable shocks.

I love the ride quality, I would say it rode similar to stock and absorbed bumps much better. The wheels don't feel like they are all going in different directions when going over a bump. I dig them!

Installed my new DRM's last Thursday, drove about 100 miles on them at the track on Sunday, they ere fantastic. Today was my first day really driving them on the street (of Oklahoma City), ride quality was like night and day from the stock shocks. The stockers only had about 12K miles on them, but after putting the DRM's on, the old shocks might as well have had 112K miles on them. Our roads really suck and everything just smoothed right out. Best $450 you can spend.

I run the standard Bilstein Sports and the ride is better than stock and the rear control is much better. I'd get the DRM Bilsteins now if I needed new shocks.

I had 75k miles on the originals and replaced them with DRM. Definitely smoother on large bumps at speed. Definitely more jarring with large bumps at very slow speeds.

I did not notice the ride to be any different over stock.

That's a good way of describing it. It's hard to determine much difference in ride quality but especially the rear tires are much more settled over bumps instead of wanting to skip. The way the whole car sets into a turn is also much better.

Love my DRM Bilsteins! I plan to add some sway bars to complete the handling at some point.
It took a couple of years and trial and error, but I am finally getting the car I wanted when I first started modding. Had it out again tonight, and this is by far the most fun I have ever had behind the wheel of a car.

What does your weekend look like?
I would like to get the DRM's while there is still stock on them from Doug.

I want to give a big thanks to Shark Racer for the ride in his Z w/ DRM Bilsteins.
From my perspective the DRM's offer a more plush ride (more refined) over small jarring bumps compared to the JOC shocks and about the same dampening on the larger bumps, while both tame the rear end of the car.
For a daily driver, the DRM's are definitely the way to go.
I will be doing a swap here in the near future.
As for the sway bars, I am not sure what I am going to do yet. The JOC sways and/or end links are making a hell of a racket in the front with the car back at stock ride height.
I found that in the middle setting they are way too prone to understeer and IMO ruins the turn-in and aggressiveness of the Z06, and in the stiffest setting, the balance is pretty good, but not at the expense of all the noise that it is making.
Shark Racer's car with stock sway bars and DRM shocks handled awesome and that might be they way I end up going.

I think you'll be able to fix the sways, it's pretty easy to get those bushings off and either grease or strip. When my back has recovered from today we can do it at my house if you want. (is your car lowered?)
