Here's Your Opportunity To Ask Tadge About Valve Guides
AZDANZ06 posted the question in this thread: LINK
A new poll will be posted each Friday afternoon with 5 of that week's popular questions. "Popularity will be determined by reply counts for each thread."
The thread needs replies, so post something there and maybe we will hear from Tadge.

That guy cares less about us than chevy does. Chevy will care about the issue when there is a fatality and the government makes them care. That guy will side step answers with unrelated statistics, gloss over facts ie, the c7 frame weighs less but no mention of curb weight, and polarize his core customer base by telling us anyone who has purchased a new corvette in the last 8 years is stupid because the car is obsolete. He won't answer truthfully anyway, f him.

If we do nothing, we get nothing in return. That's a certainty. We spend a lot of time on the forum kicking this issue around. So take a few seconds and reply to the thread by AZDANZ06. Nothing to lose here.

I'm game. I have LS7 heads from a '08 Z06 with 48,000 miles. Took the heads down and intakes are all within service limits. Exhausts are all more than 0.010. I plan on reusing intakes, stems are all within 0.00001 of new and they all look good. I want to go with O.E.M. new sodium fill exhaust, stock springs, retainers and rockers. What valve guides do you recommend?

Tadge is allowed to pick and choose the questions he answers. I believe it was only one per week, as I recall. I'd be surprised if he isn't advised by GM counsel on which ones to avoid. The LS7 is, for the most part, yesterday's news. He WILL NOT give an answer that will allow GM to be held additionally liable for the LS7's problems. The easiest way to deal with this is to not deal with it. JMO, your opinion may differ.

His character during previous interviews that I have seen, and the way gm handles their problems. Not personal conversations, but rather his character and the character of the entire gm company through past practice.

In 2007 I called Tadge and left a message w his receptionist about a recent magazine road test and the issue of a production change to softer rear shocks. He called me back in about 30 minutes and answered my Q with some additional info. Nice guy.

If a future thread is posted such as “ Corvette Chief Engineer Responds To LS7 Valve Guide Question”, I’d bet that almost everyone on this sub forum would view that thread. Our best chance of seeing this happen is by replying to the thread I linked in my original post. Click the link, give it a +1 or whatever, and you have added to the number of replies, which is the only way the question will have a chance of being added to a poll of 5 possible questions for Tadge. The winner of the poll is sent to Tadge. Rather than make a negative response to this thread, spend the same energy in a positive way and let’s see what happens.

I am in for this. It is the only issue I am really interested in having truly answered. It is the reason a lot of the fun has been taken out of this car for me, a lot of respect lost for GM ( and I come from a GM family ) and why it has quelled any interest in purchasing a C7 Z06. At the very least I would like to hear from the horses mouth how to really fix this damn thing instead of leaving us on our own for years to try to sort out "their" problems that they sweep aside and cover up with vague statements telling us to relax and enjoy our car. Reputation of these cars are going into the toilet- you can't even go to a car show anymore and not be asked about the valve issue at least a dozen times. Yeah, I would love to see just what Tadge has to say about all that. However I certainly doubt it will be anything of interest if he even ventures into answering this question at all.

The thread concerning LS7 valve guides is leading (by far) in replies in the "Ask Tadge" sub forum. If this continues, it will be one of the 5 questions in the next poll. Then we get to vote. We need some new members to go over there and reply. Click my link as the OP of this thread. Or go here to see the various threads and number of replies.

I'm as skeptical as many here that we will actually get a straight answer, but the effort to get this question submitted is minimal so I participated.
Besides, if the question does get submitted and it goes unanswered or "dodged" we will have an answer of a different sort...
