What 18" rims for Z??
What 18" rims are you guys running on your Z's? I am looking for a 18x12+ rim to put MT streets on. I like the Forgestar cf10 but it looks like they only come in 19/20's. The Forgestar F14's are nice but it seems like everyone has them. Any suggestions? Thanks.

get used light weight wheels..and then look at tire weights..345 a must for me cause of the look..i might get m a h because of the height ..but think I will try a7 hoosier beacause they are 6 lbs lighter then mt and m and h..less weight = more hp...I picked up used racing brake rotors for 400 for the fronts took 20 lbs off.,,

One answer Finspeed the owner Dan tracks a vette and was super helpful in helping me select the options for my wheels. Best of all I had custom made wheels in less than 4 weeks.

You can do just about any 18" on the car. Weld, Billet Specialty, Finspeed, ForgeLine....
If you want a drag setup...depending on the HP of the car you are probably going to want a taller side wall tire. You can use C4 ZR1 wheels in a 17x11 and not have to modify anything..
Or you can rock the LG Drag spindles and a 15" Weld or Billet Specialty wheel and get some serious traction on the car.

It doenst look like you read my post correctly..I said bigger then 345 tires will stick out..never said 13"rims will stick out..Why would anyone get 13 in rims for a 345 tire? To add even more weight? when 12 " is the optimal size for 345..i was also referring to 345 on a 19 " rim..

In any case it all comes down to what you plan on using the car for. If you are running 18's because you want to run street tires or look like you track your car then go with 12" rear wheels, if you actaully plan on using your car on the track like Morris and want to have access to the widest selection of rear tires possible then go with 13" rear wheels.
If you run a 12" rear wheel you are limited to Dot-R tires i.e. a 345/35/18 Hoosier A6/R6. You can can also run those on a 13" wheel with the added bonus that just about every 320/680/18 and 320/710/18 slick (which is the size that you would run on the back of a C6Z) is designed to work on a 13-14" wide rear wheel. So that is the answer to your question on why someone would want to run a 13" rear wheel and as the weight is in the barrel the difference between a 12" & 13" wide wheel is probably going to be about 1/2-3/4lb per wheel. So nothing that you will ever notice.

Why would you be talking about 19" wheels when this whole thread has been about 18's?? Also who in their right mind would waste money buying 19's with the limited tire selection compared to 18's?
