Default Texas Speed Long tubes w/stock cats/h-pipe?

Bought the car w/the Texas Speed LTs & offroad x-pipe on it. Have the stock exhaust too.

Need to put cats on for emissions. What are my options?

Depends... What type of testing do they do where you live?

For example, in California (unless you "know someone" of course), they lift the hood on your car, find one hose out of place, BAM, fail. In that case, the only solution is stock.

If it is an OBDII scan for codes PLUS a tailpipe test, you MIGHT(!) get a way with aftermarket CATs, like the expensive "Green" CATs Kooks sells (they are just reselling another vendors product, you might find them cheaper). Again, someone that had a tailpipe test and that set up would need to verify if they will actually pass.

If is is just an OBDII scan, BAM, you are in the clear, no issue - if you do have codes or a CEL on your dash, that is from crappy installation / someone not knowing what they are doing - you just need someone to tune those out (yes, that means your car will be flashed and GM will know, but I assume you are not concerned about factory warranty at this point).

Bring the x-pipe to an exhaust shop and have them weld in some free-flowing 3" cats on the straight section.

That might just be what I do. I'd like to find cats myself to save some coin. What cats do you guys recommend if I go this route?

Anyone know is a Kooks catted x-pipe will work w/these headers?

Why wouldn't you just buy their complete system and add your own cats?

Again, I bought the car with the Texas Speed LTs & offroad x-pipe already installed.

My state has emissions testing so I need to add cats.

My apologies I must have over looked that fact.

I'd just re-install the factory system for the test, then put the hi-po parts back on after you pass with flying colours.

I already confirmed with TSP that stock cats will not bolt up to these long tubes.
