I bought mine in VA, drove it home to NH. The 4th time I drove it was to move here to AZ, 2700 miles in 2 1/2 days. It is a fine road trip car. Get out and drive it.
Good that you are planning to get the heads done, make sure it is done by a quality LS engine shop.

Honestly, I would love for my wife and I to take a week and drive it back, it would be a blast. If it was April we probably would. The seller can't hold onto it that long.

I understand. I left from NH in January, the day after a 14" snow storm and had flurries on I 80 in western PA.

So clean it pops, you're in for a real treat...soon as snow melts.
Secured a beautiful well loved/maint'd C6 Z06 in a very rare desirable color. Plus, a bonus beating Spring Corvette buying madness.

Ugh.... I am praying to the weather gods to please cooperate a few days before and during delivery day. They won't be able to get the truck to my house so I will have to meet them a couple miles away at a spot where they can unload it. I really don't want to have to drive it on messy, salty roads.

My Z was finally delivered first thing this morning. It was about 20 degrees outside! I had to meet driver at a parking lot about 4-miles from my house. She was on fumes, so first stop was to get some gas. I have to be honest, I was pretty damn nervous driving it home....haha. Fortunately, with it being so cold, the roads were dry. Now the real wait begins......for Spring.

Congrats on the Z and of course you picked the best color. The guy I bought my LMB Z from sent me pics and a short video of the car being loaded up....I could not wait to see it get unloaded!!

Yup, it's a cherry alright. Pops sitting on a truck.
Be prepared for every jackwagon in town driving a Foxbody or other Rustang, assorted rice grinders & pedestrian nards of every ilk pulling all kinds of crazy stunts just to get a close look, some hope to goad you into opening-up the LS7. Wait, you'll see. Kids.
BTW I don't blame 'em a bit.
Run across this give 'em a friendly, 'Why howdy, neighbor' wave & motor off into driving Heaven .
Now, going for first cruise of the season w/ my Z.
Upper Midwest's weather is unusual, perfect cruising for a JSB Z06.
