That could be true but doubtful. Motor Trend said the C7 should be out as a 2013 model, seems even with the years in between there is some planning being done.

I would agree that a mid-engine 'Vette would be super cool, but any decision to design and produce a mid-engine 'Vette would be made purely on marketing and financial consideration. For that I wouldn't hold my breath. It would be an enormous expense to make the change, not just for the design but also to redo the assembly line to build it.

Mid engine ain't gonna happen...not for a long time...maybe C8. AWD would be way more important to have sooner, IMHO. Can you really imagine getting on an AWD LS3??
