Default C7? So far, no thanks.

While admittedly, the leaked pictures and suppositions on the C7 are primarily guesses with leaked facts here and there. Nothing I have seen of the C7 impresses me. I am glad I have a late model C6.

I'll reserve judgement until the final product has actually been introduced .... and I get a chance to see and drive one for myself.

Thus far there is nothing accurate to be impressed with.

I've been here a little longer than most, and your post could have been written back in 2004. Just change C6 to C5.

And we all know how that turned out.

The C7 will be better than the C6.

I imagine it's been posted before but for those who haven't seen it here's jalopnik's video simulation of what the C7 might be. If those are the C7 tail lights I'll be highly disappointed.

I think it just takes time to get used to any new design before we like it. I remember when the Vettes lost their chrome bumpers I hated the new design. But now I love them!

Performance wise the C7 will beat the C6. Styling wise..I'll have to wait and see.

That was quite interesting. It doesn't look as bad when in motion as the earlier pics suggest. I still don't like the tail lights and it sits way to high off the ground. Of course, the video is an approximation.

I believe the C7 will be a knockout! I also think GM has done a good job of keeping everybody wondering what it will be. Can't wait for January.

The Cobo auto show can't get here fast enough! Its amazing that GM has had so many leaks on what the car will look like. Seems like someone should loose their job on this one.....One thing for sure, when it comes out we will all want one no matter what our thoughts are now

Really? I could NEVER buy a car if I feel the exterior is not attractive just because the interior is nice. Nice exterior and a "meh" interior, yes. If I can't look at a car and say to myself that it looks amazing, I can't own it. I hope this is not the case with the C7...if so, used ZR1 without a 2nd thought.

If the rear looks like that, I will NEVER like it!! I am going to have to reserve judgement on the rest of the exterior until I can spend time walking around it and judging it from every angle. I think it looks pretty good from the high-angle side profile in the video but when it comes down to eye-level, things just don't seem to work for me!! I thought the new Camaro looked good the first time I saw one just driving down the road, however that all changed when I took about 20 minutes doing a every angle walkaround in a parking lot. I see lots of the cartoonish angles of the camaro in the video and that's what scares me the most. I keep hoping that GM pulled of the scam of the century with fake pics and prototypes and that they are going to knock us out of the park with the C7!!

When the C5 came out I remember a lot of comments about the rear end being to fat and the front looking too much like a Ferrari, then when the C6 came out I remember a lot of complaints about the way it looked too.

Seems the designs grow on you after they have been out for a while so even if the C7 is not popular from the minuet it is release I'll bet after one year everyone will love it.

No question about it. Give it a bit of time and see how tired and dated the C6 is going to look in comparison. Most folks here I would bet, are going to want one if they can afford one.

For all the comments about reserving judgement, there sure is a lot of judgement.

Seriously, there should be a special Reply button in C7 General Discussion that lets you choose your post:

If that's what C7 is going to look like,
( ) I'll keep my current car
( ) I'll never buy one
( ) nobody will buy one
( ) they'll have to sell them at a discount
( ) C7 will be the shortest generation ever
( ) C8 better be ready soon
( )
( )
( )
( )
( ) Corvette is headed for a disaster of biblical proportions. Old Testament, real wrath of God type stuff. Fire and brimstone coming down from the skies! Rivers and seas boiling! Forty years of darkness! Earthquakes, volcanoes... The dead rising from the grave! Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together... mass hysteria!

Okay, nobody's chosen that last option yet, but there must be fifty posts of every other option in this list since Jalopnik posted its illustrations last November.

The if that's it, then doom form has been reduced to cliche.

And the GM talking heads are unrepentant in their love of their new car, insisting with all kinds of not-really-denials that we haven't really seen it yet. So don't for a minute think all this if-then business is changing anything, but go ahead and keep posting it if it makes you feel better

Very true. Whatever it is, it is pretty much set in stone now.
