Default Blacking out the emblems

A little platidip goodness. Decided to black out the emblems. Only thing left is the front grill chrome strip. I think it came out pretty good. The back corvette flag is not perfect but Ill redo that later today. Let me know what you all think.

Looks good. I Plastidiped the front chrome strip on mine. How did you to the corvette lettering on the back? Did you remove?
Also how did you maintain the red in the crossed flags?

I did not remove any of the emblems. I just taped around it making a rectangular box. After it has dried you can pull up the excess which will just automatically cut around the letters. The red in the flag emblem was done by slowly cutting around it with an exacto knife. and then pulling up the plasti dip. Here is a youtube video that shows how to do the letters.

I don't know. Nothing looks more like Plastidip...than Plastidip. It is on every Ricer and Gangsta car around here. Black over chrome, looks like grey blotch from any distance.

How does Plastidip stick to the chrome ? I would think it would not adhere very well and would tend to flake off.

That said, this is pretty damn cool looking. Think I may give it a try when I get my C7!

I like the side badge, but I don't like the emblem. I liked the checkered-flag part, to me it looks a little weird one side is blacked out and the other side is red. However, I really like the red side with the black outline. Maybe you could do the white parts of the checkered flag red?
