Default Tires

Just picked up my C7-Z51 convertible. Summer tires/ chrome rims. What other tires can be put on the car so I can use the car in inclement weather? Anyone get Forgiato rims?

There are numerous threads about A/S & winter tires. Search the forum for "winter."

Personaly - I have the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3's on my C7 Z51.
Great tire for normal winter conditions, as I will not drive her in snow or icy roads as normal.
I do need the cold temperature capabilities over th "Summer Only" tires!
If I leved further norht or in Canada, I would have opted for the Pilot Alpin PA4's as the are true winter tires!
I may actually run the A/S's year round!

I'm looking at these as they are run flat. Pilot Sport A/S Plus ZP. Anybody tried them?

Note that they are not runflat in the Z51 sizes.

I had PS A/S 2 ZP's on my C6. They were a vast improvement over the stock Goodyear tires, but I still had issues with snowpack on my inclined cul de sac. The latest versions are likely improved.

Today I successfully navigated my snowpacked street with the Continental ExtremeContactDWS tires I had put on awhile ago. I bought these based on various threads about them in the C6 section. Unfortunately, they also are not runflats. There seems to be some conspiracy with A/S or winter runflats for the C7 Z51 sizes, as no manufacturer offers them.

Thanks. Don't have Z51 but am looking for a year around tire. Thinking of trading in org tires as brand new on something I can use all year.

Any major chain (Town Fair Tire - National Tire & Battery - Sullivan Tire) can get the Michelins from their regional warehouse!
