That is so wrong, on every level.
From these three pictures it appears the C7 hasn't been moved since the stripper was applied by looking at the ground. But the C7 also looks to be parked diagonally accross several parking places? Could that have precipitated the act by the the perp?

As a point of clarification paint stripper isn't acid.
Carry on.
Carry on.

Ohhhhh Good catch!!!
If it's anything like the some of the apartments I've lived in parking SUCKS and I bet somebody didn't appreciate a brand new vette taking up more than one!
People get irritated enough when they see a nice car two-spotting it... !

My first thought was... criminally insane stalker ex-husband/ex-bf until I saw she may have parked over the line. Then I realized it was probably just the average person in her apartment complex that couldn't find a parking spot when they got home the previous night.
Sad either way.
Sad either way.

Update: The owner initially reported that acid was used but is now reporting that they think it was a paint remover gel. The wheels and tires were also damaged by whatever product was used. The incident took place between Midnight and 4:00 a.m., so it is less likely that someone would have seen it take place.

I find it really sad for Renee when people feel they have to do this to other peoples "pride and joy". People like that are just plain disgusting. Iam not sure they are even people. I take great pride in my car and not sure what I would do if I caught someone doing that to my car. I know it wouldn't be a pretty sight if I caught him in the act. Iam very sorry for Renee.

She didn't deserve this. But, never two spot. Especially in a crowded parking lot.
Just the kind of thing that would provoke some ******* to retaliate.
new paint job and she will be good.
Then again, it could have been a pissed off ex...... I know I have dated some batshit crazy women in my life.

I agree. And even without the fear of retaliation, taking up two spots is a d-bag move. You might own a Corvette, but the person next to you in a Chevette has the same rights to a parking space as you do.

Two parking spaces or not (which I personal would never do) an ex or whatever the case might be,doing this to someone's property is wrong and I would imagine a felony. For those on this thread that assume foul play on the owners part , that shows what kind of person you are not even knowing this lady and her miss fortune. Not to say the lack of support to a fellow car enthusiast I hope the person is caught and prosecuted the extent of the law.

Even if she did "two spot" as you call it no one and I mean no one deserves this. This is way overboard and completely out of bounds. I mean out of bounds as in "he deserves to be in jail"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

By no means do I think that putting paint stripper on a car is the right thing to do. I'm just saying that everyone needs to uphold their part of the bargain. Corvette ownership doesn't give you special privileges to take up two spots in a shared parking lot.

Whatever was used on the car, it is apparently eating into the fiberglass.

Those pics are hard to look at.
If I caught someone doing that to mine, I'm afraid all of the hollow points would be out of my .38 before I had time to realize that it would not be a justified killing. (although it should be)

It's not fiberglass either, but I assume you already know that.
