What's it like in the rain?
I am wondering how does the Stingray handle in the rain? Having owned 3 Zo6's and having driven in heavy Florida rain storms was always a white knuckle ride at speeds anything over 40 MPH. Has there been an improvement in ride quality in the rain?

No sweat at all. I've driven my M7 Z51 in torrential downpours (for hours at a time) with no problem at all. And I've used both Tour and Weather modes doing it but didn't really notice much difference between the two anyway

Rain?? Rain???
You should be banned!!
LOL. It's fine as long as you don't floor it.
I've had my 14 in the snow quite a few times and it did better than I thought it would do. Only got stuck once and that was going up my driveway!

I have had zero issues with either of the shop cars we have had here.
Most of it has to do with tires....my 2008 Z06 was horrible in the rain with the GoodYears on it. Switched to Michelin PS II ZP tires and you could do 80-100 mph in the rain without really breaking a sweat.

Doesn't rain much here in No. TX so when it does the roads get slicker than snot. Even so my base C7 seems stable and safe to drive, much more so than my C6s, especially my Grand Sport. Probably a function of the slightly narrower tires and they not being Goodyears.

It performs better than any other car I've ever had.

The C7 is much better in the rain than the C6.

Was raining moderately but became a torrential downpour very soon after I left and for the hour it took for the round trip! Had the mode set to Weather, which reduced throttle response. Had to go through some fairly deep puddles, wipers on max most of the time! Got back to the area around our house and had to take alternate roads to avoid very deep puddles, at one point having to turn around on a narrow road because the puddle I would have to cross was way too deep to ford! Fortunatly there were no other cars in site and after several K turns managed to turn around. Car made in back fine. Glad the air intake is high in the fender and not low in the front! Had to slow to a crawl for deep puddles but never felt stability was an issue.

I live in sunny Florida and drive my Stingray daily. Even in the worst downpours, the Vette handles very well. I put it in weather mode, but on a base car, I have no idea whether that really makes a difference.

We get our afternoon summer downpours and I've had no problems driving in them. The tires are way better than my C6's and I like the fact the car is no longer a bottom feeder. However, I still avoid large puddles.
