Is this really sport or muscle ?
Ok, this question is for the experienced sport car lovers who own corvette C7
C7 is my first corvette and I have never driven a previous generation Corvette or another sport car before (Cars like: Porsche, Ferrari)
But I have driven few American muscle cars like Mustang and Camaro. So I know how is the feeling when drive a muscle car.
So now when I'm driving the C7, I scenes a bit of muscle car feeling. (Not from the look but a feeling when you drive it) So I'm wondering is that heavy muscle feeling is common in other sport cars also (Cars like: Porsche, Ferrari) ??
Or is this only unique to Corvette ?
I know that corvette has classified as a sport car. But I wanted to get you guys thoughts also.

Mustang and Camero are 5 or 6 hundred pounds heavier. The vet is more agile in the curves than those cars (Except maybe Z28). Americans are obsessed with the 1/4 mile for some reason. This car pushes more toward the classic european sense of performance a little better than the C6 did. IMHO.

I'm struggling trying to understand exactly what question you are asking. The C7 doesn't feel much like a muscle car to me. I think of muscle cars as heavy and oriented to straight-line performance. Most of them are relatively inexpensive sedans modified to add power. The Corvette is designed from scratch to be a nimble and powerful sports car for road tracking. Sports cars are made for twisty, gear-changing, open-air road driving. The C7 has the street power of a muscle car, but the steering and suspension are nothing like the Camaros and Mustangs I've owned or driven. Two completely different animals, in my opinion.

I've owned 7 Covettes over the years and never thought of them to be muscle cars. A muscle car was described above. My Chevy II is a pro street muscle car like the
Road Runners, GTO's and all. Mustangs and Camaros were never muscle cars. They were pony cars. They actually could go around corners and were used in Trans Am racing. They are closer to a sports car as they still are in their current configurations.

I think I get what you are saying...
I think the question should read...
Does the C7 feel and drive like a Euro sport oriented car or more like a muscle car.
Euro cars are designed to be very stable and sure footed in triple digit speeds as they are designed to run on the Autobahn.
The Corvettes of past have always lacked that buttoned down, tight, confident euro feel. Like when a car magazine says, it's an easy car to drive fast. That has never really applied to past Corvettes unless you put coil-overs or at the very least DRM shocks on them.
Past Corvettes have always felt twitchy and like they might bite you near the limits.
I have not driven a C7 Z51 w/ Mag. Ride control, but if those shocks work as well as they did on my Audi TTRS, then I would say that the C7 would be right there with that euro confident feel.

My take on the Corvette is it is a sports car with plenty of muscle. It handles as good and in some cases better than 250k exotic imports and has the low end torque/power of the muscle cars.

Porsche 911s and GTRs have 4 seats. I don't see these as muscle cars. I think the definition would be more along the lines of 2 doors, 4 seats, rwd, front engine, and V8. A 911 is definitely a sports car in my book so i dont think you can say all sports cars only have two seats the McLaren F1 also had 3 seats.

It is also a big V8 with lots of low end torque. It rumbles and snorts and cackles and sounds like a cross between a muscle car and a Ferrari that's decided to sing Baritone instead of soprano.
There is nothing else like it. You should drive some other cars like a Boxter, 911, Aston Martin etc. to get a frame of reference and my strong belief is that you'll come crawling back to your Vette with your tail between your legs. The car provides a unique experience and at the price point it's unbeatable.

It's America's Sports Car, not to be confused with a European one. A Vette in Venice Italy is a muscle car...a Vette in Venice Florida is an exotic sports car!

The C7 feels like an exotic sports car compared to my C6, which felt more like a muscular sports car. Almost like comparing James Bond to John Wayne, both very effective killing machines, just different methods of delivery.

I had a muscle car - 1970 Chevelle SS, 396. Defined muscle car in both looks and performance. The Corvette is a sports car. This whole discussion, while esoteric, is kind of lame. Who really cares? The reality is this - I suspect MOST people are attracted to a Corvette primarily because of appearance. Performance is secondary for most - although "image" is important also for some.
