Ditch the current entertainment and navigation system and steal the one from Chrysler. The one on my Grand Cherokee is heads and shoulders better than the one in my C7.

That got me thinking, what welcome improvements were you hoping for in Corvette's 2016 model year? If you didn't get what you wanted this year, what would you like to see for the 2017 model year?

Your best suggestions will end up on the Corvette Forum front page, and, who knows? They may even turn into new options/upgrades for 2017.
I would like to see adaptive cruise control if it's not available now.

Integrated blind spot mirror, more head and leg room, better quality carpeting and matched to seat color. Enough of the cheapest black carpet on the planet.

It's called the M7.

Amen! Some of this stuff makes the stingray backstep a little!

...but, If I had the M7 the much larger problem would be the lack of the option of giving the car the ability to shift gears on it's own when I got tired of constantly engaging the clutch pedal and rowing the shifter.

I suppose they could add head room with an optional dual bubble top, but adding more leg room sounds like a redesign, not an update. I guess they could offer a thin shell race bucket seat, but those aren't really very comfortable over the long haul.

It's only called that on this forum. The actual codes are MEP (without Z51) and MEL (with Z51). Walk into a Chevy dealer and ask for an M7 or A8 and they'll look at you like you're goofy.

Actually, any Chevy dealer that doesn't know what you mean if you say M7 or A8 isn't somewhere I'd likely buy a Stingray, because they clearly don't know much about them. Regardless of the official RPO codes, I think anyone who knows anything about the C7 will know what is meant by A8, M7, or even MT7.

How about the ability to order a blue interior period. No hoops to jump through, no packages to have to order, no special models to have to order, JUST THE BLUE INTERIOR PLEASE ! Are you listening GM ? Oh and no color override B.S.

Agree with Gadfly. But wish they would of had the D-steering wheel and the black piece in the grill. Main thing is the A8 transmission cooler!

Fixes:

- Fix overheating issues, especially with the A8
- Fix slow shifting response of A8 when using paddles
- Fix electrical issues (HUD going black, gauges going black, etc.)
- Fix paint quality
- Fix interior rattles (example: hood & fuel release)
- Fix heated and cooled seats (they don't really work well at all)
- Fix poor stereo sound quality and lack of volume and Bass.
- Fix supplier issues and constraints of standard (and optional) equipment (Ex. Roof panels)
- Restore 100k warranty, expand to 10 year/100k

Updates:

- LT2 engine and power bump to @510hp
- Offer a real performance transmission
- 360' parking view
- Update rear end / tail lights
- Update front end / head lights
- Offer dynamic rear wing

New Trim:

- Bring back the Grand Sport to replace Z51 w/ Carbon brakes and aero packages.

The infotainment system sucks. I would think a car with all of this "advanced" technology would have a decent infotainment system. I'd like to see CarPlay integration and/or the Android equivalent. Chevy should focus on the car, and let the infotainment experts do their thing. My biggest gripe is how long the system takes to boot up when I start up my car. I'm 1/2 way to work by the time my iPhone is recognized. Ok, it only takes me 5 minutes to drive to work.

Side warning devices also. I was against this in an earlier post, and after driving my 'Vette for two months, I think its necessary.

All these things sound wonderful, but most trivial and totally subjective. The stereo is great, how much louder do you need it. The seats cool just fine... The car is wonderful...

The only thing they need to bring back and I'm sure they will is the GS widebody, Z brakes, Z suspension w/ less power for less money... That will sell all day.

Bump the price $300-500 and include a harness bar with the competition seats. Maybe even the harness belt set.

Would the Vette body material impact paint quality?

I think that slightly larger and retractable side mirrors would be nice along with a proximity warning.

Start using those new semi-reflective "ghost" paints. Introduce the Vapron HVAC system, getting rid of the blower and ducting for more leg room. 8th generation runflats that weigh in 4lbs lighter. Thats a start
