Fender flares for C7?
#21
ZL1, i'm not sure if we're talking about different things. What i'm referring to is adding more WIDTH to the wheels, and rather than the wheel sticking out past the fenders, being "covered" by the flare so it doesn't look TOO stuck out. My hope is this is the case and it won't rub (assuming stock height)

some of us c7 base/z51 owners are trying to run 335/30/18, 325/30/19, 345/35/19 hoosiers on the rear. to do that you need to cut all the inner fender lip off, (maybe a little more of fender) the flares should hide the mess. right now the flares would take even more clearance from inner fender lips. i did cut them (inner fender lips off a base 2014) to run 335/30/18's but then the tire still hit inside the fender and split/cracked it. but as i said it was a base car( soft spring? no one has spring rates that is telling) maybe i could get away with this on a z51 mag ride car? as you are talking about cosmetic flares some of us are thinking IS THIS MY FIX? yes their are $5,000 dollar wide body kits that in the end cost 10 grand, but that is a lot to spend to go from a 315/30/18 hoosier that fit fine with no rubbing to a tire 8/10th or 1 1/3rd inches wider. thanks for reading

You can modify the z06 flares pretty easily. I have one painted, but then I ran out of paint. This is after a few modifications and prepped for painting. Obviously, not a solution for the rears though.

Is the rock guard larger on the Z51 than Z06? Did you have to cut the spat? What had to be modified. Ive purchased carbon fiber Z06 spats and it looks like th rock guard is too big. Thanks in advance

Damn that is one big/long front splitter. Reminds me of the B2 bomber

$1900 for those and not even CF? Hard pass on that one. Ebay will have decent ones out in 6 months.

Hey! OP, was anything ever done on these? I want 4x fender flares all around for my 2015 base m7 but all I can find are some from west coast corvette and they're not cheap! Thanks, B.

stock Z06 front fender flares on Z51
Has anyone had any luck on installing stock Z06 on the Z51? I saw the stock flares with GM part number for $80 per side these are the stock black plastic ones from GM. Anyone do this?

The way the conversation is going, it kinda sounds like people are trying to figure out a way to get wider tires under the car without going all out and converting the car to a wide body. If the fender lip isn't cut away, then yes, these are nothing more than a cosmetic add on.
