Who is using PowerStop Z26 brake pads?

brake dust
Ok, I am fed up with the darn brake dust and am going to get my peeling black painted Z51 wheels powder-coated soon. While the car is sitting up on jacks I was thinking of replacing the expensive CarbonTech 1521 pads with these Power Step Z26 pads to get the dust down to a reasonable level. Yes, the CarbonTechs dust less than the OEM ones but they still dust horribly.
Anyone use these Power Step Z26 Pads? How do they compare performance wise and dust wise? Any squealing issues?
I figure these are pretty inexpensive at $120 for a set of four and if I am not happy I can always put the CarbonTech's back on. But I would like to hear other member experiences before I bother. They don't seem to be peddled here like the CarbonTechs even though the reviews on various auto parts web sites seem to say good things about them at least for street use. I guess they are not track rated and don't have a Corvette Tax so they are not peddled here?
Please, no comments like "just put up with the dust", or "5 seconds cleans them", or similar. If you have these Power Stop Z26 installed, please post your experiences otherwise please go flame elsewhere.
Thank you in advance.

My last comment on the Power Stop Z26's. I have completed my road trip (approx. 1500 miles roundtrip). They had little brake dust after a one day (800 mile) trip. I have the Z51 painted wheels. Made a few panic brakes due to inattentive drivers - no fade or pull. Only minor squeaking first 20ft in the morning, after that - quiet. Still monitoring the rotors as I go forward. As I've said before, compared to the OEM Z51 pads, night and day! Much, much better. Very reasonably priced.

I ordered a set of the Z26's from Jegs for 120 shipped for my C7Z and should have them put on this weekend.
I think my stock pads shed dust even while it's sitting in the garage. If these pads cut down on the dust by any percent, I'll be happy.

My Z26 pads I ordered from Jegs arrived yesterday... All hardware sealed in plastic as well as the pads themselves. Look to be high quality pieces for 1/3 the price of the competition. Hope to get them installed over the weekend.

Members that have ordered the Z26's for their Z06's. Please report back after installation. I am about the pull the trigger and want to hear feedback on how they do on the C7Z. I am sure the dust will be minimal so that isn't my real concern. I am more curious on fit/quality, ease of installation, squeal (or lack there of), and stopping power vs. stock.
I used the Carbo 1521's on my Z51 and the stop power was good and didn't have a squeal problem at all. Installation was easy and I did myself so no problems there.
I am just looking for a more cost effective option for pads that produce less dust. If you have installed/used Carbos or other pads, even better for the input/opinions!
Thanks guys!

Do the Power Stop pads require grease to prevent squealing? TIA

Whooah.. Just put some Powerstop Z26 brakes on my Z51 and wow what a huge.. and I mean huge difference in brake dust on my black wheels. I notice zero difference in stopping distance. Went with part #419-Z26-1474A (Front) and 419-Z26-1718 (Rear) from JEGS. Came to $121.98 free shipping. Thinking that if they are avail for my VSeries I will be ordering another set

I have 9000 miles on my car, are new rotors necessary before installing Power Stop Z26 brake pads?

I have been using the Carbotech 1521's on my Z51 with black wheels for about 5,000 miles now. I have to say they are much cleaner than the stock pads, but not perfect. I would love to try the Z26 pads, but I can't justify buying new pads when mine still work.
I usually just clean them when I wash my car. They do squeal every now and then, but lately they've been fine. I'm not sure how long they will last. I could always just start braking harder to make them wear faster.

The quality seemed fine to my untrained eyes and the installation was pretty easy. The installation is just like the youtube videos for the stingray except the Z06 fronts have a bolt going across the top of pads that also has to be removed.
