yeah, I never drive with my wallet in pocket. Any car I'm in, I find an appropriate cubby for it. In the vette, I put it in the arm rest. Unless I want to pretend I'm a secret agent, and then I put it behind the drop down stereo 😎
On longer trips I usually am wearing an L.L. Bean polarfleece vest with inner pockets on the bottom of each side, perfect places for a wallet--and I don't find that I've left it in the car when I need it. Cell phone goes into the pocket on the other side.
They definitely aren't the most comfortable seats out there. I hated them for the first week or so... since then I've grown quite accustomed to them however, I would have definitely preferred a bit more cushioning and a wider seat bottom.
I had Recaro seats years ago in my Omni GLH (still have them as office chairs with appropriate bases). When I was looking in the Recaro catalog, they had a version of their seats for law enforcement with a flat bottom and lesser bolsters on the seat back (to make room for all of the equipment LEOs wear). Something like that probably would be perfect for some people. I suspect that a good upholstery shop could modify the existing seats.
I, too, had double take, because I thought that was a photo shop.
How does that affect the side-impact airbags?
It doesn't. These are custom hand made for the C7 seat, not generic cover-alls. They were made at Superlamb Auto in San Diego. http://www.superlambauto.com/
I love these seats. 2014, regular seats. 5'11" 240#
I get in. Snuggle into them and go.
Last summer I took an 8 hour drive in it (something I never did in the C6 which was spine twisting). At the end, I got out and felt great. For me, it was totally comfortable.
