Corvette SUV: Genius or blasphemy?
Personally, I would love one. Test drove a Porsche Cayenne, way too expensive for my taste. Now Maserati has just released a great looking ride. Aerowagon is interesting but....

Yea. Unequivically!! We (speaking solely for me) do not need nor want a "Corvette SUV". That would be catering to the "Soccer Mom" crowd. Sorry if I offended anyone but it is what it is. Whats next a stationwagon? And yes I know about the "Aero" version.

Porsche doesn't have an SUV called the 911. Or the Cayman SUV. There is no Mustang SUV. Etc. etc.
There should not be a Corvette SUV, as they would have next to nothing in common.

Doing so would turn a car into a brand, which is what Porsche has done, and as far as I can tell it hasn't hurt Porsche at all. I still don't think it's a very good idea. Chevy (and Cadillac) have a number of models that can fulfill that role without sticking a Corvette logo on them and raising the price.

IF someday GM wants to develop a Corvette brand (something they thought about before) then, yeah, I can see it.
Jeep has had their SRT8 Grand Cherokee for 10 years now.
It's a very cool machine...I owned a 2007.
There has been a rumor around for a long time they will be dropping a Hellcat in for model year 2018 or 2019.
IIRC, the Germans have been putting high HP engines in their SUVs for quite awhile too.
My point is performance-oriented SUVs are nothing new and seem to have filled a niche.

It would be just one of GM's SUV with more power, better handling, and a Corvette sticker on it...that's it.
