I have not seen any flowbench results on his exhaust manifolds yet, but a buddy of mine did have him do a LT1 throttle body and intake manifold in the meantime:

Those look really well done. What was the cost?

For 300 or so a pair I could see why noone wants to port them. Lot of work for the money. Nice gains though 30 cfm is pretty decent

I can't share my friend's cost since he got the initial tester price, but I suspect Ruben will charge around $300 for the set. We're installing them this weekend on my friends 2016 Camaro SS, the cores used for porting are off a 2015 C7.

We got these installed yesterday and the car starts, idles, and pulls perfectly!

I am not sure if Ruben was able to get some flow charts going or not. I will send him an email real quick and see what he's got going on. I know he got a lot of c7 and gen6 camaro SS stuff that he is working on.

edit: I emailed him, I will let you know when I can after hearing back from him.

Update: I've just talked with Ruben. His helper got into a motorcycle accident and now is in casts, so he has been extremely busy. However, he is actually in need of a local C7 and an exhaust manifold. I am sure he would be more than happy to do work and test out his ported throttle body as well as ported intake manifold He said he will sponsor the testing and all to provide everyone with the data as well as to showcase more of his work. Feel free to contact him via phone or email. He has access to a shop to do all the work and dyno testing. As Kracka mentioned and posted a video of it, I have Ruben's ported TB and IM on my car. We didn't do a baseline before and after dyno testing but I can tell you that there are still absolutely no issues with them, started up like stock and you can definitely feel the difference load. So much smoother and healthier when doing pulls.

Here is his contact info:

Ruben@socalporting.com
Phone # (909) 653-3224
Shop is in Riverside, CA

Thanks for the update, that sucks about his accident! I hate that I'm not local to him, but I do have an extra set of manifolds.

No problem at all, was going to contact him about porting & coating my stock tri-y headers on the gen6 camaro SS anyways.

Doing the testing is for what he needs the car local because of his local hook ups. I am glad you have an extra manifold but the for testing purposes, not sure how it could work out. Though, I cannot speak on his or your behalf so maybe worth giving a call and see what would be possible?

Just got my LT's back from New Image Coatings (thanks for tip Kracka). Mark has been coating for 21 years. This is there Cerma Krome, and it turned out very well. $225 for the set, that was pretty cheap:

That looks fantastic! Very similar to a coating I used on a few components on my previous Evo X.

What are you asking for your LT1 exhaust manifolds?

Why did this thread die?????? whatever came of this? I found this thread googling and def. wanted to go this route. I want to stay relatively stock without needing a tune. Does anyone have anymore info on this with what company still does this or if this thread got continued somwhere else?

Seems like this would be a popular mod for guys who do not want to tune, want a few extra hp and an easier install.

What do you want to know? My car and the mods are still going strong. The best source these days for ported/coated exhaust manifolds is Ruben @ SoCal Porting. He has cores and should be ready to go; his prices are quite reasonable as well.
