Default '14 Z51 0-60 mph in 3.4 seconds!

So, I'm in the process of having a custom tune by Diablew (06MonteSS), and went out to put some miles on the tune. I decided to try some 0-60 mph runs and came out with a 3.4 second 0-60! This was done with a ported tb, air filter, and Diablo tune (still being tweaked by Lew). The car is a manual, on stock tires with 29 lbs of pressure, and a ton of wheel spin. I set the car in track mode, selected the race setting, and let the clutch out around 2700 rpm. The 46* air temps probably helped as well, but so far tuning is going well. WOT tuning still needs to be done. Needless to say I'm impressed.

I thought about that. Depends on what sensor the timer measures. If it's the front wheel speed sensors, than tire spin is irrelevant. If it was the rear tires sensor, with wheel spin 0-60 would be more like 1 sec.

Edit: I think the C7 uses an accelerometer, so wheel spin is not a factor.

measures rear.. i have gotten lows ones before from wheel spin on cold days on a hard 1-2 shift

How did you do your launch, I tried the launch control but could not prevent the clock from starting as soon as the throttle was pressed. Without launch control damn thing just spins.

I used track mode with the race setting. I let the clutch out around 2500 rpm and the car hooked. It spun at the top of 1st and going into second, and then it hooked again. It felt really good.
