Wow. Very nice. There's so much room left in that blower it's not even funny.

Congrats!

Update: Got to the track today for the first time ever with this car, let alone on the blower. Island Dragway NJ, DA was less than ideal at +1000. This is still on the stock air filter as well!

Left side, I actually did have an even better 60ft of 1.60 but ran into a failsafe for the methanol on the top of 1st. Yes this car is an M7, yes this is on the 265/40/18s that are "not wide enough".

Dialed in with good air, I am looking for 9s!

This is a 2200sl (non R) Ecs kit, lowest boost pulley, stock exhaust manifolds, 4 stock cats, stock non-npp exhaust. Stock airbox and stock air filter as well. Alky control kit with one nozzle. 3lt non z51 with 7 speed manual.

Got around to building a open race style intake for the ECS kit today. I used the stock ECS 4" tube (u modified with both couplers attached) and attached a huge K&N filter # RE-0870. I then built an aluminum ram-air heat shield for it. Coming from the stock air filter and stock air box, the car is MUCH more responsive, and without a doubt making considerably more power. Heat sheild is 100% working as well, noticeably colder inside than in the engine bay. This is sealed off at the hood as well.

Mockup

Final design with paint

That's awesome, I think I'll do that for my kit. I'm making 650 right now. I wonder if I can hit 700 doing that and switching from 50/50 to 100% meth.
