Will there ever be a vvt/dod delete kit for these LT1's???
Everyone I see with a cam has sum sort of vvt single bolt cam...will there be a kit that deletes the vvt/dod stuff to run a 3 bolt cam to get full potential out of these things???I've only been seeing a part that reduces the cam movement down to 20%..can someone enlighten me plz...some people say there will never be a vvt dod delete because of how the front cover lt1 is setup. ..

There already is a DOD delete.

Comp makes a VVT limiter for larger camshafts.

As far as I know, even the 1200whp TT build has a VVT cam. Doesn't seem to be a limitation in performance or tuning.

All of the high power cars obviously have DoD removed, but I saw this and laughed a bit. I'm curious as to what you think the full potential is since even SBE VVT/non-DoD S/C has broken into the 900whp range. If you mean cam-only cars, they're still posting some stout numbers with mid-sized cams.

Correct - the DoD is almost always removed with cam installs, and VVT is limited. I have a Comp phaser, Comp lifters, etc. for the larger cam. Some on here have gone quite a bit larger (as Jason pointed out) - just have to keep it within the outward boundaries of the installed VVT limiter (Comp, etc).

Absolutely there will be. The afm is no problem. The VVT is something you ideally want to keep, but matching your valvetrain to make sure it's happy with the phaser is crucial!
