The TB is WeaponX and the intake manifold might be a Formato.....I can't remember, it's been a while since I got those.

A ported LT1 does good for a stockish motor but is still a restriction. It's a big restriction on my LT1 427 with my baro dropping over 10 points. I have the ported MSD here that we shaved the letters off of since it's ugly as F and the NW 102 TB ready to go on as soon as the new dyno is setup in the new shop

Here's a time lapse of that going in too on our fb page which is pretty cool

I am running a Halltech CAI, Ktech TB & Formato ported Intake. Car is much more responsive! No dyno results but I turned an 11.8 (being otherwise stock with stock run flats) down here at Bradenton when temp was almost 80, very humid and DA was 1300 - 1500 at 30 ft alt.
60 fts were low 1.8 but top speed was really hurt by DA at only 115. Also had some 11.9's. 15' A8 w/mag ride was very consistent. For comparison, Fyreant almost got into the 10's that day,(supercharged and has over 600 hp at wheels) but his top speed was only 121-122.

Will be interesting to see if this intake manifold produces bigger gains than a ported stock intake in very high HP vehicles.

Exactly what I'm getting done. Having the letters grind down/shaved and painted black to match the valve covers. Also doing the NW 102 TB which will be painted to match. This is a 95% visual mod for me, but will be happy if it picks up any power.

I wish it would take the stock cover in some regards...

Looks like this might be the next mod in the works for me. Would love to see more people installing / experiences before I drop a grand on a plastic intake though.

To bolt on 30 rwhp is great. There isnt much you can do to get those gains at that price. When we dynoed it we did a baseline then let it cool down installed the intake then dynoed it again. So its a true example of no other mods done just the stock intake compared to msd intake nothing else. I was supposed to post the dyno and some pics i took of the intake, but my trans took a dump and life has been too crazy to do so. Hopefully i can tomorrow.

I'm anxious to see that dyno graph.

This comment is so wrong. From 5K+ the gains are significant up to redline even on a bone stock car. I'm actually tuning my MSD intake (16 Camaro SS) tomorrow on the same dyno Yonks used.

You will not achieve higher peak numbers with a stock engine and tune but your average from 5K+ up increases significantly and you will gain about 500 RPMs of useable powerband. I saw 15 to 35 RWHP at the top end when I bolted it on and dynoed.

At sea level you will incur a small hit in the midrange with stock tuning but on the A8 it is irrelevant.

Yonks did you happen to have a WB sensor installed (not the tail pipe sensor... too much latency to tune against)?

They say the Camaro is a little different but I have found 3 people on this forum gain like 5 to 8 Whp for $1k which is really noting idk why they showd that but that's what I bin seeing but they do say the Camaro engine is Alittle different idk how tho

Not much different with the Camaro version of the LT1. Different exhaust manifolds, and the M6 doesn't have AFM.

Looks like a good gain in the 4,500 and up range for sure.

Mine goes on in 2.5 weeks and I'll have fresh tuned-with-the-MSD dyno numbers then.

Can we see some installed photos? Especially from those that are painting the intake.

I attempted to get one of these installed but had issues with both units I got from MSD, both units had been partially assembled and returned to MSD for stripped screws in the three center screws. My mechanic followed the torque procedure to the letter and they still stripped.

I gave up after the second one did the same thing, my understanding is others have had the same problem. I have no idea why they don't come factory tightened, because you just install the manifold anyway on the car.

I was really looking forward to the mod but gave up hoping for quality improvements in the future.

I will say MSD was easy to work with and they even refunded me the labor expense I experienced with installing the unit and re-installing the stock unit.
