Default Z06 wheel offsets

Hi,

I'm starting to investigate a set of aftermarket wheels for my Z06/07 and I can't find the offsets for the OEM wheels front and rear.

I'm going to purchaser the exact same size wheels so I can use my existing tires but it bothers me how they slightly tuck in ... so I'm figuring 10 or so mm less than the OEM offset should line them up with the fender extensions both in the front and the back.

I can't imagine that such a small offset difference would have any adverse effects such as creating rubbing but please let me know if that's not the case or I'm missing something.

TLDR: what's the offset of the Z06 OE rims?

Thanks.

Still trying to get confirmation on this also from some of the wheel vendors here but I think the rears are 59mm offset. Not sure about the front

Check with Ben at Weapon X. He has the offsets. I ordered a set of Forgeline wheels from him and Forgeline indicated that they felt we could push out the wheels slightly (8mm in front and 9mm in the rear). Forgeline has their own Z07 to do their fitting.

Ben has a thread on it here:

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...t-to-know.html

Copied from Ben's thread:

Doing some research for my new wheels and thought I would share the difference between the Z06 and Stingray wheels and tires!

vs.

Front wheels:

C7 Base and Z51 front wheel (respectively)
18x8.5 ET 56mm
P245/40ZR18 (93Y) SL Michelin® Pilot® Super Sport® ZP
19x8.5 ET 56mm
P245/35ZR19 (89Y) SL Michelin® Pilot® Super Sport® ZP

vs.

C7 Z06 front wheel
19x10 ET 43mm Listed weight of 25.7lbs.
285/30ZR19 (87Y) SL Michelin® Pilot® Super Sport® ZP

Result:
Suspension clearance: Z06 wheel is 7 mm (0.3'') closer to suspension/brakes components. Acceptable for most cars.
Fenders clearance: Z06 front wheel will stick out 33 mm (1.3'') farther.
Wheelwells clearance: The same.
SPEEDOMETER: The same.

________________________________________ ____________________

Rear wheels:

C7 Base and Z51 rear wheel (respectively)
19x10 ET 79mm
P285/35ZR19 (99Y) SL Michelin® Pilot® Super Sport® ZP
20x10 ET 79mm
P285/30ZR20 (95Y) SL Michelin® Pilot® Super Sport® ZP

vs.

C7 Z06 wheel
20x12 ET 59mm Listed weight of 31.8lbs.
335/25ZR20 (87Y) SL Michelin® Pilot® Super Sport® ZP

Result:
Suspension clearance: Z06 wheel is 5 mm (0.2'') closer to suspension/brakes components. Acceptable for most cars.
Fenders clearance: Z06 wheel will stick out 45 mm (1.8'') farther.
Wheelwells clearance: The same.
SPEEDOMETER: The same.

Dark pic, but check out the aggressive oem offset on my Z28:

Name: IMG_0132_zpsb182ba25.jpg
Views: 6141
Size: 508.0 KB

... and it's like that in the back as well, and that's with the oem fender extensions.

Now those are sticking out about an inch which is probably too much for the Z06, but I'd like my rims to at least be even with the Z06's fender lips if not sticking out a few mm.

So what do you guys estimate the offsets need to be to achieve that?

(thanks for all the help btw)

Basically, I need 2 19x12 59mm offset rims in the black aluminum that comes on the 2015 z07. I Absolutely have to keep the stock offset. Doc, are you able to make those?

It takes more than 10mm front and rear to make the wheels flush.

swaite, May I assume the OE C7 Z06 19x10 Front Offset is +40........(My 2012 Grand Sport 18x9.5 Front are +40)
May I assume the OE C7 Z06 20x12 Rear Offset is +59.......,(My 2012 Grand Sport 19x12 Rear are +59)

Could you please CONFIRM What size Wheels (dia &width) and What Offsets your BC Forged Wheels Are ???
Could you please CONFIRM your front/rear Tire Sizes ???
Could you State the Finish on Your BC Forged Wheels as I want a finish Somewhat LIGHTER than yours

I would like to use the Wheel Offset Calculator Tool and convert your offsets to be used on my
18x9.5 and 19x12 Forged Alloy Wheels

I really not sure its whatever stock Z06 wheels are. The wheels are moved out 8mm in the front and 9 in the rear. The tires are front: P285/30R19 rear: P335/25R20
i went with the continental DW non runflats for this set

wheels are 19xx10 20x12

Swaite, I'll confirm elsewhere what the offsets are on C7/Z06 19/20" wheels ....and then your Custom Forged Wheels
are out 8mm and 9mm from OE Stock.

Sizes of the C7/Z06 Wheels:
  • Offset: Front 43, Rear 59
  • Size: Front 19x10, Rear 20x12
How close to FLUSH does that put your Tire Edge to Front Fender Edge & Rear Qtr Edge ????
and may we assume that the tire has never hit/rubbed the painted "inside" edge of Fender/Qtr Pnl ????

Thanks again

Unrelated to wheel size but how do you like the Extreme Contacts? I have been thinking about buying a set for all around use instead just sticking with my Cup2s. Thanks in advance.

The continental tires are nice for normal driving, I did retain a set of wheels with Pilot Super Sports for long trips and when I push (track) the car because they are run flats and offer more grip vs the continental tires.
